Throwing causes a slow fall. Not throwing causes a very slow fall. Throwing with little strength causes a fast fall. Throwing with great strength causes a very fast fall. That is the time, that is its difference. The difference in the time of slow and fast, and very slow and very fast falls, from which the complete transformation of those arising things, i.e., the arising things such as vajras, is the difference, i.e., the complete transformation of throwing, and what is it? It is a slow fall. Otherwise, similarly, the complete transformation of throwing with great strength, and what is it? It is between very fast falls. The difference of complete transformation is established, i.e., the difference of complete transformation is established, therefore, those are not without difference, this is said in conjunction with the context. If so, then the last moment of sound and flame, as extensively explained, i.e., what is the last moment of the destruction of the continuum of sound and lamps, etc., and at the time when an Arhat passes into nirvana without remainder, there is no later moment for the aggregates, therefore there is no abiding. Because there is no abiding, there is no transformation of abiding, therefore its dissimilarity is the transformation of abiding, as such, the established characteristic will become non-pervasive? For that which has abiding, there is certainly transformation, and for that which has no abiding, there is also no transformation, as it is said. In the sutra, it is said for the sake of existence, thus it is said, these three are the characteristics of conditioned phenomena, that is all. Therefore, for the last moment of sound and flame, etc., it is considered that there are only two characteristics, arising and ceasing. Apart from that, there is also the transformation of abiding. Others say that the last moment of sound and flame, etc., also has the abiding of what abides, and its transformation depends on the previous moment, therefore, for those also, three characteristics are established. How is that the characteristic of the basis of the characteristic, i.e., is the characteristic itself? The basis of the characteristic and the characteristic, like water and water bubbles, are different.

Now it is seen as such and refuted. The Sutra School masters show that it is wrong. Let's talk a little bit, for example, "marks of a great man" and so on. The marks of a great man are included by the great man, and are not different from it. A great man is not just the marks of a great man, just as a dharma arises from not arising and also disappears after arising, this cannot be used as a metaphor. If you say that, I will argue about this. This is exactly the similarity. Just as the marks of a great man are also called a great man, and also called the marks of a great man, similarly, conditioned dharma is also called conditioned, and also called the nature of conditioned. Dharma is expressed through the nature of birth and so on, with the difference of state. When establishing nature on the continuum, the general characteristic expresses the general characteristic, for example, the general characteristic called great man, expresses the general characteristic of the marks of a great man. This also distinguishes the hidden and other natures. Hardness and so on are also like this, the detailed explanation is because this example is well-known in this scripture, so it is established for both sides, for example, the earth element is of the nature of hardness, although it is said like this, hardness itself is not different from the earth element. Similarly, everything can be inferred. When the earth element expresses hardness, it is called the nature of hardness, similarly, when conditioned itself is expressed by not arising and arising, and also disappearing after arising, because the expresser is called nature, it is called the nature of conditioned, but it is not different from it. Just like going upwards, the detailed explanation is that according to the Sarvastivada's view of speaking of one moment, the smoke going upwards There is no other, it is just that when it appears upwards in other places, it gets the name of going upwards. Although going upwards seems different from smoke, it is not considered that the smoke going upwards itself is other. That is not other than that of the smoke either.
