Also, it should be combined. These are the meanings of "birth of birth, etc.," that is, these "birth of birth, etc." also, here it should be regarded as the word "also" being shown implicitly. Each one also has four characteristics, which is explained in detail, that is, each characteristic has four characteristics, and the four characteristics as a whole become four characteristics. In the fault of having no end, it also means that in the fault of having no end, because birth also has the gap of impermanence itself, and there is also a gap of impermanence itself, therefore it will fall into fault, and those characteristics that are in accordance also have other births, etc., therefore it will fall into fault. That enters the eight dharmas and one dharma, meaning that the nature of the dharmas of birth, etc., and birth of birth, etc., those are sequentially entering the eight dharmas and one dharma, that is, birth, etc., enter the eight dharmas. Birth of birth, etc., enter one dharma. Self-nature is realized as nine, meaning that it is said in consideration of the characteristics that are in accordance. For it, no matter how obtaining, etc., and arising, etc., and those transformed from arising do not arise, it is not like that, if desired, then "no senses, no sound, subtle dust, eight objects" is said like this, and "all conditioned characteristics and characteristic attainment," etc., arise. Birth, then, except for self-nature, this is explained in detail, because it is contradictory to act on one's own self-nature, therefore, except for self-nature, it produces eight dharmas. What are the eight? That is, form or mind dharma, and abiding, aging, impermanence itself, and birth of birth, abiding of abiding, aging of aging, and impermanence itself produces impermanence itself. Birth of birth then produces that itself. Similarly, for aging and impermanence itself, etc., it should also be combined, meaning that aging, then, except for self-nature, produces eight dharmas. Aging of aging then produces aging itself. Impermanence itself, then, except for self-nature, produces eight dharmas. Impermanence itself then produces impermanence itself that itself.

It is also done in this way. It is like saying, "Producing the dissection of the sky," which means thinking that dissection is taking place. The sky is merely the absence of obstructive matter, and there is no such thing as "sky" at all. Since the sky cannot be dissected, similarly, these non-existent phenomena such as birth cannot be distinguished or are impossible. Therefore, it is explained in detail that phenomena such as birth do not exist. Just as how to distinguish, for example, birth produces eight phenomena other than itself, distinguishing in detail like this, but they are not truly existent, nor do they have their own characteristics. Just as "phenomena such as form," here, the word "etc." includes sounds, feelings, and eyes, etc. Among them, first, form and sounds, etc., can be observed by the direct perception of the nature of eye consciousness, etc. Feelings, etc., because they are self-aware, can also be observed by direct perception. Eyes, etc., if they exist or do not exist, then the basis of eye consciousness, etc., that is, pure form, is eyes, etc., which can be inferred by the inference of eye consciousness, etc. The scriptures also mention in detail, "The eyes see all forms," and similarly, "The ears hear all sounds" is also mentioned in detail, and smells, etc., should be applied in the same way. Similarly, whatever form, whether past, future, or present, is mentioned in detail, and feelings, etc., should be applied in the same way. Inferring that feelings, etc., non-material things in the continuum of others exist is because seeing their body movements like oneself, thereby understanding them. The scriptures also mention in detail, "Relying on the eyes and all forms, eye consciousness arises, as well as the simultaneous arising of perception, feeling, and thought." Phenomena such as birth are form, etc.

Just like the earth, it will not manifest, and regarding these existences themselves, there is no way to infer their function. There is no scriptural authority for their existence as real entities. So, isn't there the scriptural authority that extensively states, "Conditioned phenomena also appear to arise"? The Blessed One said to rely on the meaning, that is, monks, there are four reliances. What four? Relying on the Dharma and not relying on the person, relying on the meaning and not relying on the words, relying on the definitive meaning sutras and not relying on the provisional meaning, relying on wisdom and not relying on consciousness. Similarly, one should rely on the meaning and not on the words. What is the meaning here? It is this brief explanation of the sutra on the characteristics of conditioned phenomena. In order to show that meaning, it is extensively stated, "Children blinded by ignorance," and clinging to the continuity of formations as self and what belongs to self is delight. Manifest clinging is a synonym for attachment. Conditioned phenomena themselves and dependent arising itself are different names; what is produced by the aggregation of causes and conditions is conditioned phenomena. What arises from the aggregation of those causes and conditions is dependent arising. It is not momentary, because it is considered that only continuity can express conditioned phenomena, not the moment, because the moment is difficult to understand, so the qualities of arising, ceasing, abiding, and changing of the moment do not appear. If you think that even if those do not appear, they should be characteristics, therefore, it is said, "Those that do not appear should not be characteristics." Only what is manifest is a characteristic, like a bubble in water. Therefore, the sutra says, "Therefore, it is manifest in the sutra," if it were not so, it would only say, "Conditioned phenomena themselves arise, cease, abide, and change." The characteristics of conditioned phenomena, etc.
