That which is called "consciousness and feeling also do not cease" is to refute the tenets of the Venerable Mitra-bhikṣu. Although that cessation attainment is with mind, it is said that consciousness and feeling cease in this. Therefore, such an excessive statement is made. The term "born from the contact of ignorance" means that the contact of ignorance is the contact of ignorance. That which is born from it is born from the contact of ignorance. The term "not made for the arising of feeling" means that such contact is the cause of feeling. Because the Venerable Ghosa contradicted himself, he said that he was mindless. How is it that it is a mindless samadhi? Thinking thus, is it appropriate that dhyana, etc., are samadhi, because samadhi makes the mind and mental factors equal and makes them one-pointed? He asks after thinking like this. The term "for the sake of accomplishing the equality of the great elements" means that it is samadhi because it makes the great elements equal. Thus, this cessation samadhi and dhyana, etc., have the nature of samadhi. What is the equality of the great elements in this? It means abiding perfectly in opposition to the arising of mind. Chapter Fifteen. The term "because of obtaining" means that because one enters into samadhi and obtains it, it is entering into samadhi, it is an action. Yogis and others also obtain dhyana, etc., therefore dhyana, etc., are also samadhi. The term "substance" means self-nature. The term "because it obstructs the arising of mind" means that it obstructs the arising of mind. The term "it is not, only the mind of samadhi" is not like that. Why? Because only the mind of samadhi obstructs it, it is the conclusion of obstructing the arising of mind. How is it? To show that, the mind of samadhi alone is explained in detail.

Therefore, it is only the mind of that absorption, and there is no other substance. The statement "because the support that contradicts it arises" means that the support that contradicts the mind, that is, because the continuum arises. By what mind is it not constant, and will it not be allowed to enter at other times? The word "only" is for the sake of rejecting other substances. It contradicts other minds, that is, it arises in contradiction to the future mind. That which is only allowed to not enter is designated as absorption, this is a imputed dharma, not a real dharma, this is the concluding statement. If it is not a real dharma, then how is this designated as conditioned? Answer: That which is only allowed to not enter is also absent in the yogi who has not arisen before and arises later, so whether it is the absorption of non-perception or the cessation, this absorption is designated as conditioned in name, but not in reality. The statement "the support itself is thus equally established" means that it is established in this way, it is a difference of state, we designate what is born from absorption as absorption, this is the concluding statement. That state is also absent in those who have not arisen before and arise later, so there is no contradiction in the nature of being conditioned. Also, absorption arises in this way, because absorption is a difference of the state of being conditioned, it will necessarily be established as the nature of being conditioned, this is the concluding statement. The statement "the non-perceiver is also the same" and so on is explained in detail, that is, this yogi in the non-perceiver, only obtains the mind and the one who enters the mind and the contradictory one. That which is only allowed to not enter is also a supplement to the words mind and mental factors, it is thought that it is designated as a non-perceiver, but it is not real. Therefore, the statement "warmth and so on" is explained in detail, that is, the entry of warmth and consciousness depends on the life force. Therefore, the life force is the support of warmth and consciousness, that is, the cause of abiding is only those. The statement "then it will be constant and irreversible" means that these will be constant and continuous
