If asked: 'The unpredicted attainment arises simultaneously.' Use this sentence to explain. These are accomplished through the difference of combination, because they possess power. This sentence elaborates on things like the divine eye. If asked: What is attainment? Attainment is produced previously, subsequently, and simultaneously. 'Accomplished through the difference of combination' refers to the manifestation of the divine eye, etc., which are accomplished through the difference of combination. Because it is accomplished through the difference of combination, it possesses power. Because it possesses power, attainment is also produced previously, subsequently, and simultaneously. Use this sentence to explain its meaning. 'Some of the skillful arts' refers to, for example, all activities. 'Conduct,' for example, the abiding one, Asvajit, is very familiar. The Vaibhashikas consider it to be very acceptable. If asked: What is the attainment that is produced previously, subsequently, and simultaneously? In the phrase 'Also of obscured form,' the word 'also' has the meaning of جمع (samgraha, collection), it is جمع meaning that there is simultaneous production. The form with afflictions should also be understood as only the revealing form of the first dhyana realm, because there is no universal arising in other realms. The sentence 'Also by the great' elaborates that the revealing form obscured by the great mind, that great mind itself that initiates the revealing form, does not learn the non-revealing form, therefore it is established as being weak in power. Because it is established as being weak in power, attainment is only produced simultaneously. 'The difference of attainment' refers to the attainment of those that are born from maturation, etc., which are unobscured and unpredicted, is simultaneous production. The attainment of the two manifestations, etc., is also produced previously, subsequently, and simultaneously, this is their difference. In the desire realm, 'Prior to form, there is no arising,' refers to practicing in the desire realm. The attainment of the revealing and non-revealing forms of virtue and non-virtue never arises previously in any way. If it is said that even virtue is okay.

If it is unwholesome, then there is only the word "non-existent." Simultaneous arising and subsequent arising do exist, which is applied according to the circumstances. For example, the attainment of the first moment of manifestation (rnam par rig byed) and non-manifestation (rnam par rig byed ma yin pa) is initially simultaneous arising. For nihilists and others, that very moment is also subsequent arising. Similarly, the attainment of other moments such as the second moment should also be understood as simultaneous arising and subsequent arising. In the desire realm, the attainment of form aggregate alone is prohibited from five kinds of birth, therefore, the attainment of the form of discipline of meditation and non-outflow exists in the three times, which is the distinction of circumstances. Why is it that non-attainment is always classified as non-obscured and unspecified? If the non-attainment of afflictions were to become afflicted, then those who have abandoned afflictions would become non-existent just like afflictions. If it were to become virtuous, then those who have completely severed the roots of virtue would also become non-existent. Moreover, the non-attainment of uncontaminated dharmas would also become uncontaminated, therefore they would not become ordinary beings, because they always possess noble dharmas. Therefore, it is established that non-attainment is necessarily non-obscured and unspecified. The non-attainment that occurs in the present does not exist in the present, because there is attainment for the dharmas that occur in the present. Therefore, there is no such non-attainment occurring in the present, because attainment and non-attainment cannot coincide. The past and the future are the three times, which means that the non-attainment of existence produced by effort, and what has been attained and then perished, and the future, and the non-attainment of what has not been attained by the eyes, etc., exists in the past, and also exists in the future, and also exists in the present. The non-attainment of those will also change to arise in a continuous manner, and will also cease, and will also remain in the future. Desire, etc., belonging to and also stainless. Here, the word 'also' is because it is related to the three aspects. Belonging to the desire realm, etc., what has not yet separated is desire.

etc. belong to. Those belonging to the desire realm etc., and the non-defiled unobtained, are of three kinds, because they are established according to the power of the basis of birth. The unobtained is not one who dwells together with the Dharma, therefore, like the obtained, it is not established by the power of the Dharma. Therefore, the unobtained of those born in the desire realm who practice in the desire realm, form realm, and formless realm, and of the non-outflow dharmas, is practiced in the desire realm. Those born in the form realm are practiced in the form realm. Those born in the formless realm are practiced in the formless realm. For example, the qualities arising from effort of those born in the desire realm, and the unobtained of those obtained by birth at the time when the roots of virtue are completely cut off, and the unobtained of the non-afflictive practices in the form and formless realms because they are not free from desire, and the unobtained of the non-outflow because they are ordinary beings, are practiced in the desire realm. Similarly, the practices in the desire realm of those born in the form realm, those abandoned by the transfer of land, and the qualities arising from effort of those who practice in the form and formless realms, and the unobtained of the noble dharmas because they are ordinary beings, are practiced in the form realm. Similarly, the practices in the desire and form realms of those born in the formless realm, those abandoned by the transfer of land, and the qualities arising from effort of those who practice in the formless realm, and the unobtained of the noble dharmas because they are ordinary beings, are practiced in the formless realm, and should be combined in this way. What is an ordinary being? Not having obtained the noble dharmas, as stated in the scriptures, this shows that there is no non-outflow nature in the unobtained. Which noble dharmas have not been obtained? The noble dharmas start from the forbearance of knowing the Dharma of suffering, and are all non-outflow paths, therefore it is asked in this way. It is everything, because it arises without distinction, from the forbearance of knowing the Dharma of suffering etc. to non-...
