In order to establish this, it should be understood that these twelve sources are distinct and not gathered together. Regarding the distinctions made for the eye and so on, whatever is not spoken of as the eye and so on, but is said to be form, but no other name is mentioned, it should be known that this is the source of form. Or, the source of form is the main one, because it is with obstruction, because if touched with hands and so on, it can be touched, and it can be indicated, because it can be said, "This is here, in a certain place." In the world, it is also called form, and not others. Only because of the special meaning, one dharma source is spoken of, not all. Furthermore, here many dharmas such as feeling are gathered, therefore, it is usually expressed in the sound of dharma. The supreme Nirvana of Dharma is also included, and not others. If the sutras also point out other different things such as aggregates, realms, and sources, then, how should it be understood whether they are included by these, or are different? They are included by these, and are not different. Regarding this, briefly, the eighty-four thousand collections of Dharma, whatever the Able One said, whether words or names, are all included in form or formations. Whatever is the nature of the Buddha's words, those are included by the aggregate of form. Whatever is the nature of names, those are included by the aggregate of formations. Then, how much is the measure of the Dharma collection? Some say that it is the measure of the treatises. Some say that the Dharma collection is the treatise, which is the measure of the Abhidharma treatise, which is six thousand verses. Still others say that each of the aggregates and so on that are spoken of separately. Aggregates, realms, sources, dependent origination, truths, food, meditation, immeasurables, formless realms, liberation, superiorities, pervasions, limbs of enlightenment, superknowledges, perfect knowledge, wish-wisdom, without afflictions

Each of their explanations is called a collection of Dharma. To counteract various behaviors, it is said that the collections of Dharma are in harmony. For example, the behaviors of sentient beings, such as desire, hatred, ignorance, pride, etc., are eighty thousand different kinds. To counteract these, the Bhagavan taught eighty thousand collections of Dharma. So, how are these eighty thousand collections of Dharma summarized into the five aggregates? Similarly, for others, one should, according to the circumstances, by making good use of the characteristics of the aggregates, ayatanas, and dhatus, summarize them into the content as previously mentioned. The aggregates, ayatanas, and dhatus mentioned in other sutras should also, as explained in this treatise, make good use of their own nature and summarize them into the aggregates, etc., as previously mentioned. Regarding this, first, for the five aggregates such as morality, the aggregate of morality is summarized by the aggregate of form, and the rest are summarized by the aggregate of formation. Eight out of the ten all-pervading ayatanas, because they are of the nature of non-contamination, are therefore summarized by the Dharma-ayatana. If with retinues, because it is the nature of the five aggregates, it is summarized by the two ayatanas of mind and Dharma. The superior ayatanas are also the same. From the all-pervading ayatanas, the four ayatanas such as the space-infinity-ayatana and the consciousness-infinity-ayatana, because they are the nature of the four aggregates, are summarized by the two ayatanas of mind and Dharma. The five liberation-ayatanas, because they are the nature of wisdom, are summarized by the Dharma-ayatana. If with retinues, they are summarized by the sound, mind, and Dharma-ayatanas. From the two ayatanas, for the non-perceptive beings, because there are no ayatanas of smell and taste, they are summarized by the ten ayatanas. Approaching the neither-perception-nor-non-perception-ayatana, it is summarized by the two ayatanas of mind and Dharma. Similarly, in the Sutra of Many Realms, the sixty-two realms that are mentioned should also be summarized according to the circumstances. Among them, from the earth-realm, etc., to the consciousness-realm,

As stated in between, if the characteristics of these two are not explained, then is space itself the realm of space? Should all consciousness also be understood as the realm of consciousness? It is said: It is not so. For example, doors and windows, mouths and noses, etc., holes are called the realm of space. How should a hole be understood? It is the two, light and darkness. How is it to be known? A hole cannot be grasped apart from light and darkness. That which is surrounded by obstruction is called form, and obstruction means accumulated dwelling. Because it is very capable of causing harm, it is form, which it surrounds. Or, on it, there is no form other than it that is unobstructed, so it is unobstructed. It is also surrounding other forms, so it is unobstructed surrounding. Defiled consciousness is the realm of consciousness, the basis of birth. Why not make it undefiled? Because those six realms are considered the basis of birth. They are the basis of birth from the moment of the connecting mind to the moment of death. Undefiled Dharma is not like that. Therefore, in this way, speech among the four realms is included in the realm of touch. The fifth is included in the realm of form. The sixth is included in the seven realms of consciousness. The ayatanas and realms have been stated. Then, among these eighteen realms, how many can be indicated? How many cannot be indicated? What can be indicated here is only form. This form is here, in a certain place, so it can be indicated. The rest are said to be un-indicatable. How many are obstructed? How many are unobstructed? Obstructed are the ten with form. These ten realms, which are included in the aggregate of form, are obstructed. Those eight are said to be unobstructed. How many are virtuous? How many are non-virtuous? How many are unspecified? Unspecified are eight. Which eight? Those ten obstructed ones mentioned earlier. From that, The five senses that are not form and sound, and smell and taste.
