Order, and becoming like food and vegetables, etc., therefore, because it completely separates the two realms, the cause of order is feeling and perception. From actions, it separately forms the aggregates. The order of the six sense bases and realms, such as the eye, should be explained, because it indicates it, so it is also the order of its objects and distinguishing consciousness. Those six are also, for the sake of the present meaning, the first five. The objects of the five, such as the eye, are present, therefore they are initially explained. The mind is uncertain, some of its objects are present, some of its objects are the three times and non-time. Arising from the meaning, for the sake of four. It should be combined with the first. Among the five, four or five are also said, because the object arises from the elements. The object of the body is uncertain, sometimes it is the great elements, sometimes it arises from the great elements, sometimes it is both. Others enter far and very quickly. Furthermore, the remaining others enter far and very quickly according to the situation, so it was said before, the eye and ear are mentioned second because their objects are far. Among those two, the eye enters very far, although the wind is seen from a very far distance, its sound is not heard, therefore, it was said before. Although the nose and tongue do not enter far, among those two, the nose enters very quickly, so it was said before, because the tongue perceives the smell without touching the food. Or according to the order of how they abide. Or for this body, the support of the eye abides first, below it is the ear, below it is the nose, below it is the tongue, and the body is mostly below it. The mind relies on them and does not abide in the object, their order is according to how they abide. Also, why among the ten sense bases of the nature of form, is one indicated as the form sense base, if everything is the nature of Dharma, why is one called the Dharma sense base? Answer: For the sake of the meaning of difference and main, in order to gather many excellent Dharmas, one form sense base and one Dharma sense base are said. What is the meaning of difference? Just like this, in the object-possessor, it is distinguished as the object itself.
