Just as with human races, and just as close afflictions like desire are different from the mind, so too are wisdom and ignorance. The meaning of ignorance has already been explained. Furthermore, what is the meaning of "name" and "form"? Form is as has been extensively explained before. Name is the aggregate of name that possesses form. Why? Because it engages with objects through the power of name, sense faculties, and objects. By the power of which name? That which is spoken of in this world, such as those that have become ornaments, like cows, horses, shapes, and tastes, and so forth. Why are those also names? Because names are applied to those objects. Others say that because in this body it inclines towards other births, name is the non-form aggregate. The six sense sources have been explained. Touch should be discussed, namely the six touches. From the touch of the meeting of the eye to the touch of the meeting of the mind. Those too arise from meeting. They arise from the meeting of the sense faculties, objects, and consciousnesses. Among those six touches, five are touches of resistance, and the sixth is called verbal expression. The five touches of the meeting of the eye, ear, nose, tongue, and body are called touches of resistance because they rely on sense faculties that have resistance. The sixth, the touch of the meeting of the mind, is called the touch of verbal expression. Why is verbal expression called name? Because it focuses on what remains, it is called the touch of verbal expression. Furthermore, those six touches themselves become three: clear, unclear, and other touches. Clear touch, unclear touch, and the touch that is other than those two, neither clear nor unclear. Those are also, in order, immaculate, afflicted, and remaining. Clear touch is the touch without outflows. Unclear touch is the touch with afflictions, because it possesses clear and unclear. The remaining is the touch that is neither clear nor unclear because it does not possess the same as both. What is the remaining? It is wholesome with outflows and unobscured and unspecified. Furthermore, unclear touch is repeatedly

Because everything arises, only one aspect is mentioned, and touch becomes two types: touch that arises following harmful intention. Because it is the same as harmful intention and what arises following it. Furthermore, if everything is summarized, there are three types such as the transformation of pleasant feeling. The touch that transforms into pleasant feeling, the touch that transforms into painful feeling, and the touch that transforms into neither pleasant nor painful feeling, because they correspond with pleasantness and so on. In this way, those touches become sixteen types. Touch has been explained. Next, feeling will be explained. Among them, the six types of touch that were previously explained, from which six types of feeling arise. From the feeling that arises from the aggregation of the eye sense, up to the feeling that arises from the aggregation of the mind sense. Among them, five are of the body, and the mind is separate. The five feelings that arise from the aggregation of the eye, ear, nose, tongue, and body senses are called bodily feelings because they rely on the sense organs that have form. The feeling that arises from the aggregation of the mind sense is called mental because it relies only on the mind. When that itself is closely experienced, purity is also eighteen types. Furthermore, the feeling of the mind itself is divided into eighteen types from the establishment of eighteen types of mental close experiences. What are the eighteen types of mental close experiences? Six types of pleasant mental close experiences, six types of unpleasant mental close experiences, and six types of neutral mental close experiences. These pleasant mental experiences and so on rely on the mind, and therefore they closely experience objects, so they are mental close experiences, or they closely experience objects, so they are mental close experiences, because of the power of feeling, the mind repeatedly experiences objects. Furthermore, among these mental close experiences, how many are associated with desire? From among those, what is the object of how many, and should it also be said up to those associated with formlessness? Answer: Everything has desire as its object. In the desire realm, there are eighteen types in order, which means that the object of all of them is also that. From among those themselves, twelve with form are the realm of experience. In the form realm, except for the six close experiences of smell and taste
