These are the second of the (pa rnamskyi ste). Great merit and wisdom are the third. Thus, such is the order, in the wheel-turning king and so on, this is the kind. The remainder is established as the fourth. Now, here, completely holding the words of the outsiders and discussing. If sentient beings vow to transfer to another world, then is the self established? That should be refuted, there is no self. What kind of self is it, who abandons this aggregate, and after fully observing the continuous connection to other aggregates, in such a way, the acting person is not there. The Blessed One also said: Karma exists, and so does maturation. Apart from the collection of dharmas, the agent who abandons this aggregate and connects to another is not seen. The collection of those dharmas is this, that is, this arises because this exists, which is called the great dependent origination. Then what kind of self should be refuted? Only the aggregates. If only the aggregates are called self, then there is no refutation of that. If so, will the aggregates themselves also transfer to another world? Those aggregates do not transfer, manifested by afflictions and karma, the flow of the intermediate state, enters the womb like a lamp. Those momentary aggregates do not have the power to transfer, but only the aggregates completely imbued with afflictions and karma, called the intermediate state, enter the mother's womb through the flow, just as the momentary flow of a lamp goes to another place, so there is no fault in this. Therefore, there is no self, but the flow of aggregates manifested and accumulated by afflictions and karma enters the mother's womb, this is established. That is also like this, how the throwing sequence on the continuum, after growing with karma and afflictions, goes to other worlds, because the karma of life is different. The throwing of all the aggregates' flow is not the same, therefore, for whoever is thrown for how long, it gradually grows for that long. What sequence? Soft, hot, long, hard, the sequence of extending hands and feet, etc.

Therefore. From the conformity of growth, when the faculties are fully matured, they again engage in all defilements, and the karmas also increase accordingly. After they destroy that body, the continuum of the intermediate existence also destroys and goes to the other world as before, so the cycle of existence has no beginning. In this way, the life that arises from the cause of karma and defilements, and also its cause, karma and defilements, and also from them arise things called life, etc., it should be known that the cycle of existence has no beginning. If the beginning is permanent, then it will necessarily become causeless. If that is causeless, then all of these will also arise from a causeless one, but in each separate place and time, from sprouts etc. arise seeds etc., and from smoke etc. the power of fire etc. is also seen, so there is nothing that arises from a causeless one. Saying that a permanent cause exists has also been prevented at the very beginning, so therefore this cycle is without beginning. Life depends on cause, so it is reasonable to have an end from the exhaustion of cause, like a sprout from the exhaustion of a seed. Thus, what is taught as the continuum of aggregates in the three states of life is dependent origination. It is also the twelve links and three times. Among them, the twelve links are from ignorance etc., up to old age and death. The three times are the past extreme, the future extreme, and the middle, which are the past, future, and present lives. How are the twelve links established in the three times? Two each for the past and future extremes, and eight in the middle. Ignorance and action are the past extreme. Birth and old age and death are the future extreme. The remaining eight are the middle. Do all the births of these eight links exist in this? The answer is no. Then in whom does it exist? It exists in the complete one. Because it exists completely in this, it is the complete one. Here, it refers to the person who touches all these state differences, not the one who dies in the intermediate state. There is also no action in the formless realm, as it is said in the category of the Great Discourse, the person who acts in the desire realm is taught, Ananda.
