It is not preceded by knowledge. Moreover, that is the realm of the fourth dhyana, while this is born in the peak of existence. It is the realm of neither-perception-nor-non-perception. Moreover, this is suffering, it is the meaning called virtue, although it is virtue, there are two kinds of feeling, namely, uncertain. To be experienced after arising, and to be experienced in other instances, that is, to be experienced in two times. And the maturation is uncertain, if one completely passes away here, then that is the maturation. The maturation of this is the four aggregates of the peak of existence, and that is singularly superior, not of ordinary beings, because there is fear of annihilation, and it should be generated by the power of the noble path. The noble one also does not obtain this by being free from desire, if asked: how is it obtained? Answer: it is obtained by effort. This is only obtained by effort, so the past cannot be obtained, nor can the future be obtained. If asked: is the Blessed One also an effort-maker? Answer: no. Obtaining the enlightenment of the Sage, the Buddha, the Blessed One, obtains this simultaneously with knowing the cessation. The Buddhas are not effort-makers, because there is not even a little called "the Buddhas are effort-makers," all those qualities and riches manifest, relying only on intention. Therefore, why not accept that all of those are obtained by being free from desire? The Westerners say: this is the very beginning, it is generated in the stage of a Bodhisattva learning. The Kashmiri self-school says: it is not the beginning, because it is not possible to generate it earlier. Why? Because it is obtained in thirty-four moments. A Bodhisattva obtains enlightenment sequentially with thirty-four moments of mind, because of realizing the sixteen truths, and when free from desire in the peak of existence, abandoning nine aspects of affliction, there are nine uninterrupted paths and nine liberation paths, eighteen arise, so those become thirty-four. This is after being free from desire from the realm of nothingness, entering without fault, so it is not to be abandoned by the lower grounds.

Therefore, it is impossible to have different minds between these, so it is said that it is impossible to have a prior cessation attainment. If these two attainments have many differences, both rely on desire and form. Both the unconscious and the cessation attainment are produced in the desire realm and the form realm. There is also this difference: cessation first occurs among humans, cessation attainment first occurs among non-humans. Later, if one completely falls from the former, then it is in the form realm. Thus, these two attainments also have differences in place, combination, cause, result, experience, and initial production. Attainment has been explained. What is life? Life is lifespan. In the Dharma Abhidhamma, it says: What is the life faculty? It is the lifespan of the three realms. The dharma called lifespan is like this: heat and consciousness are the basis. The Blessed One said: When life, heat, and consciousness abandon this body, after abandoning it, there is no mind at that time, like a tree stump. It is said that therefore, what is the cause of the dharma that exists as the basis of heat and consciousness, that is life. Life has been explained. The characteristics are birth, aging, abiding, and impermanence. These four are the characteristics of conditioned phenomena. The dharma that has these four characteristics is manifested as conditioned. The opposite is unconditioned. Among them, birth causes the dharma to arise. Abiding causes it to remain. Aging causes it to decay. Impermanence causes it to perish. If it is said that birth and so on are also conditioned, then will there be other births and so on? Indeed, there are. That is, the birth of birth and so on. For them, there is also the birth of birth, the abiding of abiding, the aging of aging, and impermanence itself is impermanence, becoming four conforming characteristics. Even so, it will fall into the fault of infinity because it extends to other births and so on, and each

Furthermore, if asked whether the four characteristics can be obtained, the answer is no. Why? Because they enter into the eight dharmas and one dharma. These, such as birth, enter into the eight dharmas. "Entering" means the act of doing, the effort of a person. The birth of birth, etc., enters into one dharma. How is it? The eight characteristics that accord with the characteristic arise together with the ninth. Among them, birth, except for the self, causes the other eight to arise. It causes the birth of birth itself to arise. For example, some domestic fowl lay many eggs, while others lay few. Similarly, apply this to abiding, etc., and the abiding of abiding, etc. Therefore, it does not reach an end. If birth causes a future thing to arise, why do all future things not arise simultaneously? Thus, birth causes the object to be born to arise because there are no causes and conditions. Without the assembly of causes and conditions, birth cannot cause the object to be born to arise. The characteristics have been explained. The aggregates of names, etc., are the aggregates of names, speech, and letters. By mentioning "etc.," the aggregates of words and syllables are included. Among them, a name is a name, such as form and sound, etc. A word is speech, such as "Alas, conditioned things are impermanent," etc., as much as it completely expresses the meaning, that is, it can understand the differences in its function, qualities, and temporal relationships. A letter is a syllable, such as A, Ā, etc. The aggregates of these names, etc., are the aggregates of names, etc. Among them, the aggregate of names is like form, sound, smell, taste, touch, etc. The aggregate of words is like, "All conditioned things are impermanent, all dharmas are without self, Nirvana is peace," etc. The aggregate of letters is like Ka, Kha, Ga, Gha, Nga, etc. With what are these aggregates of names associated, whether they appear as sentient beings or do not appear as sentient beings, whether they arise from maturation, arise from growth, arise from a similar cause, whether they are virtuous, non-virtuous, or unspecified? Is it necessary to repeat it? It should be said.
