Moreover, it is the equanimity of the four aggregates of consciousness. In the second dhyana of rebirth, there are two kinds of feelings, namely the mental pleasure and equanimity of the mind-ground. Because there are no other aggregates of consciousness, there is no pleasure. In the third dhyana of rebirth, there are two kinds of feelings, namely the pleasure and equanimity of the mind-ground. In the fourth dhyana of rebirth, there is only the feeling of equanimity. If it is in the second dhyana and so on, without the third aggregate of consciousness, and without investigation and analysis, then from their seeing until contact, it is like that. How does the manifestation of form arise completely? Because for those born in those places, it is not that there is no eye consciousness and so on, nor is it their place. How to understand it? The second dhyana and so on belong to the first dhyana. The consciousness of non-body ears, and the manifestation of form arise completely. In the second dhyana and so on, from their seeing until the manifestation of form arises completely, just like an emanation, the eye, ear, and body consciousness of the first dhyana, and the manifestation of form arising completely will appear. That is unindicated, not afflicted. What manifests those is the consciousness of the first dhyana place, which is unobscured and unindicated, because it is free from desire, so it is also not afflicted. Because it is inferior, so it is also not virtuous. The necessity of dhyana ends here. Then, how to obtain pure dhyana and formless dhyana? Free from desire, pure by birth. Obtained from non-possession. From the lower ground, free from desire, or except for the peak of existence, arising from the lower ground, thereby obtaining pure dhyana or formless dhyana, because there it is not obtained by birth. Why is it said to be non-possessing? Because possessing purity, from practice one will also certainly obtain what corresponds to the decisive part, and from decline one will also obtain what corresponds to the declining part. Non-leaking is free from desire. Obtained when not possessing it. Connect it like this. Possessing it, from the knowledge of leakage one also obtains the non-learner. From the transformation of faculties one also learns.

One can attain the state of no-more-learning. If it is said that from the definite entry, one cannot attain the uncontaminated from the very beginning, it is not so, because gradual entry can attain the state of no-more-learning, so it is not definite, just as one can attain without being eaten by a ghost, so it is said. The phrase "From loss and arising, there are afflictions, and from not possessing them, one can attain" should be added. If one completely loses from the detachment of that, it is because of complete loss. If one is born from above to below, it is because of arising. After which object of absorption, how many arise? After the uncontaminated first dhyana, six arise: one's own ground, the second dhyana, the purity included in the ground of the third, and the uncontaminated ones. After the sphere of nothingness arises, one's own ground arises, as well as the purity and uncontaminated included in the sphere of boundless consciousness and the sphere of boundless space. There is no uncontaminated at the peak of existence, so there is only purity, and seven arise in total. After the second dhyana, eight arise: one's own ground, the third dhyana, the fourth dhyana, the purity included in the ground of the first dhyana, and the uncontaminated ones. After the sphere of boundless consciousness arises, two of one's own ground arise, namely purity and uncontaminated, as well as the sphere of boundless space, the four included in the ground of the fourth dhyana, as well as the sphere of nothingness and the three included in the ground of the peak of existence, and nine arise in total. Similarly, for other dhyanas and formless absorptions, ten objects of reliance should be added, which is a brief summary. After the uncontaminated, between the three above and below, virtue can arise, and saying virtue includes purity and uncontaminated, because it is virtue. After the uncontaminated absorption, one's own ground can arise, as well as the upper ground, and the purity and uncontaminated between the three lower grounds. Because it is absorption that transcends the ground, one cannot transcend beyond the third. After subsequent knowledge, for the absorption of the formless, etc., it is not after the knowledge of dharma, because its basis and object are below. Just as the immediately following uncontaminated was explained, purity should also be understood in the same way. The afflictions of one's own ground
