Thus it is said: What is the fruit of once-returner? It is the one who has abandoned the three bonds and weakened desire, hatred, and delusion. What is the fruit of non-returner? It is the one who has abandoned the five bonds corresponding to the lower part. Thus it is said. By obtaining the stainless separation, one holds onto that abandonment. By its power, even if completely weakened, one does not die. Therefore, it is reasonable to consider it as a fruit of the ascetic's conduct. What is thus explained as the ascetic's conduct is indeed the wheel of the Brahmin and Brahma. Because of abandoning afflictions, it is Brahmin. The wheel of Brahma is because it is turned by Brahma. Because the Bhagavan is endowed with the unsurpassed Brahma, he is Brahma. Since this is his wheel, it is the wheel of Brahma. In the sutra, it also says: The Bhagavan is also called Brahma, also called peaceful, also called cool. Because it is turned by him. The wheel of Dharma is the path of seeing. Because it travels, it is a wheel. Because it is in accordance with that Dharma, the path of seeing is called the wheel of Dharma. How is it in accordance with that Dharma? From swift movement and spokes, etc. Because of swift movement, it is abandoning and going, causing the unvictorious to be victorious, causing the victorious to abide, and because of leaping and descending. Thus, because of swift movement. Venerable Yangchen says: The eightfold noble path is called the wheel of Dharma because it is in accordance with the spokes, etc. Right view, right thought, right effort, and right mindfulness are like spokes. Right speech, right action, and right livelihood are like the hub. Right concentration is like the rim. Therefore, the path of seeing is the wheel of Dharma. Why? Because when the noble Kaundinya fully understood, it is said that he turned the wheel of Dharma. How is it that it is repeated three times and turned in twelve aspects? This is the noble truth of suffering. One should fully understand it. It has been fully understood. Thus, it is repeated three times. In each repetition, an eye is born for each truth.

Thus, wisdom and the arising of intelligence, these are twelve aspects. Because the third and twelfth are similar in Dharma, they are repeated three times, and it is said to be twelve aspects, for example, saying that one is skilled in two and seven places. The Vaibhashikas say that those turnings successively show the paths of seeing, meditation, and no-more-learning. If that is the case, then the path of seeing alone is not repeated three times, nor is it twelve aspects. How is it established as the Wheel of Dharma? Therefore, if the name of the Dharma itself is the Wheel of Dharma, then it is also reasonable to repeat it three times and have twelve aspects. How is it repeated three times? Because the truths are repeated three times. How is it twelve aspects? Because the four truths are divided into three aspects, namely, suffering, origin, cessation, and path, to be fully known, to be abandoned, to be realized, to be cultivated, and already fully known, already abandoned, already realized, already cultivated. Its turning is to proceed in order to make others understand the meaning in their own continuum. Or, all the noble paths are also the Wheel of Dharma because they enter the continuum of taming, which is to begin turning in order to generate the path of seeing in the continuum of others, therefore it is called turning. Again, it is asked, in which realms can one obtain how many fruits of the ascetic? One can obtain three in the desire realm. The three can only be obtained in the desire realm, not in other realms. The last is three. The last fruit of the ascetic and the Arhat himself can be obtained in all three realms. For the time being, the two fruits, because they cannot be obtained without being separated from desire, it is also reasonable that they should not be obtained in the upper realms, so why cannot the third be obtained? Because there is no path of seeing in the upper realms. Above the desire realm there is no path of seeing, and without it, one cannot obtain the fruit of non-return by separating from desire, this is the reason. Why is there no path of seeing in those realms? For the time being, the formless realm
