Having abandoned the bones, focus on the remaining parts, and similarly, having abandoned the skull, focus on half of the skull, this is a complete practice. By holding the mind between the eyebrows, the intention is perfected. Abandoning even half of the skull, holding the mind between the two eyebrows, this is said to be the yoga practice of complete impure intention. Because the object is small, it is small, not because the power is small, so there is also impurity, these are the four sentences: intention practiced and not practiced, intention not practiced and practiced, all because they are focused on one's own body and the boundless ocean. Furthermore, what is the nature of this impurity? What is the ground? What is the object? Where does it arise? In order: impurity is non-attachment, the ground is the ten grounds, along with the four dhyanas, the near-perfect concentration and the special concentration, and it exists in the desire realm. The object is the appearance of the realm of experience in the desire realm. What is meant by appearance? It is color and shape, therefore it is established as focusing on meaning. Does it only arise among humans, or not in other beings? What need is there to mention other realms? There, the sound of the north is not unpleasant either. It is established that only humans have the aspect of impurity. Whatever time it is, focus on that time. The object of the unborn dharma is the three times. Because it is faith-intention, it is tainted. Because it is familiar and unfamiliar, it arises from the attainment and union of detachment. The characteristics of impurity, along with detailed distinctions, have been explained. Mindfulness of breathing in and breathing out is: wisdom, the five grounds of experience, wind, desire support. Breathing in is breathing in, that is, the wind entering. Breathing out is breathing out, that is, the wind coming out. Remembering these two is remembering breathing in and breathing out, this is the nature of wisdom. Saying mindfulness is mindfulness near

There are four abodes, because they enter by generating its power. These five grounds are the three realms, namely the desire realm, the form realm, and the formless realm, as well as special meditative states. Because it possesses equanimity and equality. Because pleasure and pain are in accordance with discrimination, therefore their antidotes do not possess equality with them. Pleasure and joy also hinder concentration, and that is also to be accomplished through concentration, so it is said. Some people think that even in the actual meditation there is the power of equanimity, according to their view, this is the eighth. Above that is not the place of breathing in and breathing out. Its object is wind. It is dependent on the desire realm. It arises from gods and humans. It is born from union, and obtained by being free from desire. This is the only attention. This is unique to these Dharma practitioners, not to outsiders. Because there is no scripture, and one cannot realize the profound Dharma oneself. That also has six kinds, namely counting and so on. That is counting and following, abiding, closely observing, transforming, and completely purifying. If it has six causes, it is completely perfect. Among them, the so-called counting, is to focus the mind on breathing in and breathing out, without intention, body and mind abide, and only with mindfulness count from one to ten. Because of fear of the mind being withdrawn and distracted, it is neither too little nor too much. There are three faults in that. If one holds two as one, it is the fault of incomplete counting. If one holds one as two, it is the fault of excessive counting. If one holds exhalation as inhalation, or holds inhalation as exhalation, it is the fault of confused counting. Other than that, it is correct counting. Even if the mind is distracted in the middle, one should count from the beginning until one obtains samadhi. The so-called following is, how long will these lines appear and disappear together? Are these the whole body?

Is it all-pervasive? Or does it run in some parts? Without explicitly assuming, it follows the rhythm of inhalation and exhalation. When it enters, it follows the order of entering the throat, heart, navel, waist, thighs, and buttocks, between the two legs. When exhaling, it exhales between one height and one fathom. Others say, between the mandala of wind and the dispersing wind. Because this is only a single thought, it is unreasonable. Abiding means observing as if a jewel necklace abides from the tip of the nose to the toe of the foot. Thinking, are these beneficial? Are they harmful? Are they cold? Are they hot? Approaching means that these are not just wind, but also the four great elements and the form manifested from the elements, and the feelings, perceptions, formations, and consciousness that depend on them also exist, thus approaching the five aggregates. Transformation means transforming the mind focused on wind, from higher to higher, perfectly combining with the roots of virtue. Complete purification means entering the path of seeing, etc. Others say that transformation is from mindfulness to the vajra-like samadhi, and complete purification is the knowledge of exhaustion, etc. Mindfulness of inhalation and exhalation: Counting and following abiding, Thinking and also transforming, And purification, are considered six kinds. This is called the summarizing verse. Among them, from where does inhalation and exhalation arise body? These two are a part of the body, therefore it should be known that they are the places of the body. Inhalation and exhalation do not exist for the formless, the wriggling, etc., as well as the mindless and those who have entered the fourth dhyana, therefore they operate depending on a special body and mind. If the body is also hollow, then the mind of the place of inhalation and exhalation also becomes manifest.
