Its support is the six sense sources, not the self. How it is, as it has been said. If there is no self, how can karma be exhausted and bear fruit in the next life? If there is a self, how can it be extinguished and bear fruit in the next life? It arises from dharma based on that and not from dharma. The logic of this statement is like asking what is the basis of something, as has been answered. Therefore, dharma and non-dharma arise only from what is without support. We also do not say that karma is exhausted and bears fruit in the next life. Then how is it? It is due to the difference of the complete transformation of that continuum, like seeds and fruits. For example, saying that fruit comes from a seed, it does not come from something that has been destroyed, nor does it arise only subsequently. Then what is it? It is due to the difference of the complete transformation of the continuum, such as the gradual perfection from sprout, stem, leaf, etc., to flower. If it is made from flowers, why is it called the fruit of that seed? Because it transmits and generates its power in the flower. If that seed did not exist beforehand, it would not have the ability to produce such a fruit. Similarly, saying that fruit comes from karma, it does not come from karma that has been destroyed, nor is it subsequent. Then how is it? It is due to the difference of the complete transformation of the continuum. What is the continuum? What is complete transformation? What is the difference? If the mind that precedes karma, which arises as a field, that is the continuum. That which is born in other and other places is complete transformation. That which is able to produce fruit subsequently, because it is superior to other complete transformations, is the difference of complete transformation, such as the mind of death together with the near attainment of rebirth. Although karma is diverse and precedes, whatever karma is heavy, near, or habitual, the power it has made can be eliminated, not by others, as it is said: The cycle of karma, what is heavy, what is near, what is habitual, what was done before

It is like saying, "The former, the former transforms into Vipāka." Among them, the power of the Vipāka cause to generate the Vipāka fruit is to generate the Vipāka and then cease. The power of the equal share cause to generate the fruit of similar cause is, for those with afflictions, to arise the antidote and then cease. For those without afflictions, the mind stream is constantly cut off, that is, when one is completely liberated from suffering. Furthermore, why doesn't another Vipāka arise like a seed producing a fruit? For the time being, not everything is like a metaphor. Among them, it is not that another fruit arises solely from a fruit. So what is it? It arises from the difference of decay, it arises from the difference of transformation. Among them, whatever has the appearance of causing the sprout to grow, that is its seed, and not another. Or by the name of transformation, or because of similarity, the previous continuum is also called a seed. Similarly, for this also, if from that Vipāka, due to causes such as hearing superior and non-superior Dharma, there arises wholesome with outflows, or an unwholesome transformation of mind, then from that another Vipāka will arise, otherwise it will not, so this is similar. Or it should be understood like this, just as the Madhūka flower, due to the nectar of safflower changing its color, arises from the difference of the lineage completely transforming inside the fruit, red stamens will arise, and from that nothing else will arise, similarly, from the Vipāka born from karma, another Vipāka will not arise. This is just a rough explanation of what I can understand with my intelligence, the various causes influenced by various karmas subdued by various powers, in this situation, therefore such a fruit will manifest, this is only the realm of the Buddhas. It is also said: Karma and its influence, its entry, from which the fruit arises, only the Buddhas know, all other aspects, निश्चित रूप से अच्छी तरह से नहीं जाना जा सकता है (niścita rūpa se acchī taraha se nahīṁ jānā jā sakatā hai, cannot be known well with certainty)。 Like this, the teachings of the Buddhas, the path of reason, having seen the well-spoken pure Dharma nature,

Those who are like the blind, with various evil motives, abandon the true Dharma, while those who are not blind proceed. The light of the Tathagata's teachings, like the sun, illuminates the one path to the city of Nirvana, This path of selflessness, traversed by thousands of noble beings, even when opened, cannot be seen by inferior eyes. Thus, this is only a part, growing by its own power, Like poison to a wound, it is shown to the extremely wise. In the Abhidharmakosha, the chapter refuting the Pudgala is the ninth chapter of the Kosha. The commentary on the Abhidharmakosha, written by the Shakya Bhikshu Vasubandhu, is thus completed. The Indian Khenpo Jinamitra and the Lotsawa Pandit Paltsak translated, revised, and finalized it. Commentary on the Abhidharmakosha, by Vasubandhu.
