It is the adornment of showing the near means and bestows the desired fruit, therefore this is the most excellent. What is meant by "supernormal power"? The Sarvastivadins and others say: "Supernormal power is samadhi, because it accomplishes." What does it accomplish? It means that it can transform and travel. Among them, there are three types of travel: physical travel, arising from aspiration, and swiftness. The Teacher has swift travel, and because of the swiftness of wish, it is called swift travel, which only the Buddha, the Bhagavan, possesses, not other beings. Because even to extremely distant places, one can arrive in the moment of arising thought. Therefore, the Bhagavan said that the Buddha-field is inconceivable. Although other travels are not mentioned, it is established that the Teacher possesses them. Other beings, although they have travel arising from aspiration, the Hearers and Solitary Buddhas also have physical travel, because they gradually travel with their bodies like birds. There are also those arising from aspiration, because they quickly travel by aspiring to make the distant near. Transformation is of two types: acting in the desire realm and acting in the form realm. Among them, let's first talk about the transformation included in the desire realm, which is the four external sources. Transformation acting in the desire realm is the nature of the sources of form, smell, taste, and touch. This again has two types: one's own and others' bodies and emanations. The form realm also has two. Transformation acting in the form realm, because there is no smell or taste there, is the two sources of form and touch. This also has two types, just like the situation in the desire realm, so there are four types of transformation. In the form realm, it is the same as this, so in summary, there are eight types of transformation. Those born in the form realm, when transforming to act in the desire realm, how is it that they do not possess smell and taste? It is like clothes and ornaments that are not complete. Some say that they can also transform two sources. Also, is it only through direct realization that one can transform?

Asked: Is it like that? Answered: No. Then what is it like? It is the result of supernormal knowledge. With emanated minds, those are also fourteen. Those fourteen emanated minds are: sequentially arranged from the second to the fifth dhyana results. The result of the first dhyana, the emanated mind, is of two kinds, namely the desire realm and the first dhyana ground. The result of the second dhyana is of three kinds, namely the desire realm, the first dhyana, and the second dhyana ground. Similarly, the third and fourth dhyana grounds should also be divided into four and five kinds. The result of dhyana, the emanated mind, should be understood as one's own and the lower ground, not born from the upper ground. The result of the lower dhyana will not have the emanated mind of the upper ground. The emanation that acts in the desire realm, such as the result of the second dhyana, is more excellent in terms of sequence than the result of the first dhyana ground. Obtaining them is like obtaining dhyana. Again, asked: Does it arise only from the emanated mind? It is not like that, but rather: it will arise from purity and oneself, that is, the emanated mind arises from a pure dhyana practitioner or as a continuation of the emanated mind, and not from elsewhere. From that, there are two, that is, from the emanated mind, a pure dhyana practitioner and an emanated mind will also arise, and not from elsewhere. Abiding in the result of samadhi, one cannot arise from that samadhi without entering into samadhi. All emanations are emanated by their own ground. The emanated mind of another ground does not emanate the emanation of another ground. Causing it to speak is also possible by the lower ground. The word "also" means that one's own ground can also cause it to speak. That is, the emanation of the desire realm and the first dhyana ground can only be made to speak by one's own mind. The upper ground is the first dhyana ground, because above that there is no cause for universally arising discriminating actions. Many emanations speaking are not the Teacher, but are together with the emanation. Emanations other than the Buddha are together with the emanation. When they speak, if there are many emanations, then they speak simultaneously, one.
