The practices in the form and formless realms, and the uncontaminated dharmas, are divided into eight types by the distinction of being equally possessed and not possessed. Conditioned phenomena are divided into two types by the distinction of virtue and the unstated. How should these ten dharmas be combined? They should be combined by asking: with which consciousness, how many are the objects? For that, the object of conventional consciousness is all ten of these dharmas. Dharma-knowing is five: practices in the desire realm, and uncontaminated dharmas, the base, and conditioned virtue. Subsequent knowing is seven: practices in the form and formless realms, and uncontaminated dharmas, six, and conditioned virtue. The knowing of suffering and origin is six: the practices in the desire, form, and formless realms. The knowing of cessation is one: only conditioned virtue. The knowing of the path is two: the uncontaminated dharmas. The knowing of others' minds is three: the practices in the desire and form realms, and those that are equally associated with the uncontaminated. The objects of the knowing of exhaustion and non-arising are nine dharmas, except for the unstated conditioned. Is it possible for one consciousness to know all dharmas? No. However, only the conventional, from its own aggregate, others can be transformed into the nature of selflessness. Conventional consciousness can know all dharmas other than its own aggregate as selfless, that is, it can know them as selfless. Its own aggregate is its own nature and the dharmas that arise simultaneously with it, because they are different in terms of object and subject, and because the object is the same, and because they are very close, they are not grasped. Among these, the practices in the desire realm arise from hearing and thinking. The practices in the form realm arise from hearing. They do not arise from meditation, because that is because they are objectified from the differentiation of the ground. If it were not so, one would simultaneously be free from attachment to all things. This is completed. When it is said, "Who possesses how many consciousnesses?" For the time being, ordinary beings possess only conventional consciousness.

If so, then it also possesses the ability to know the minds of others. The noble one is: In the first moment of the uncontaminated, it possesses one contaminated wisdom. If one is not separated from desire, then at the forbearance of the Dharma-knowledge of suffering, it possesses only one conventional wisdom. The second moment has three: At the Dharma-knowledge of suffering, it possesses conventional wisdom, Dharma-knowledge, and suffering-knowledge, totaling three. Above that: Each of the four moments increases by one. In the four moments after that, it should be known that each moment increases by one wisdom. At the subsequent knowledge of suffering, the subsequent knowledge increases. At the Dharma-knowledge of origin, cessation, and path, the knowledge of origin, cessation, and path increases, so at the Dharma-knowledge of the path, it possesses seven wisdoms. If one is separated from desire, then it should be known that he completely possesses the ability to know the minds of others. Or, in what situation can one obtain how many wisdoms? At the path of seeing, how are forbearance and wisdom produced? The future can be obtained. At the path of seeing, forbearance or wisdom arises, and the future can obtain the same four aspects as that. Why? At the path of seeing, can only wisdom and the same aspect be obtained? Because the lineages have not been obtained. It says there: In the latter three, there is also conventional wisdom. At the path of seeing itself, for the subsequent knowledge of suffering, origin, and cessation, one can also obtain conventional wisdom. It is not the case for Dharma-knowledge, because the cessation of truth has not been directly realized. Therefore, it is called the edge of direct realization. Therefore, that conventional wisdom is said to arise from the edge of direct realization, because it is obtained after directly realizing each truth. Why is it not obtained at the subsequent knowledge of the path? Because the truth of the path has not been directly realized by the worldly path before, nor has it directly realized cessation. One can completely know the cessation of suffering, one can abandon the origin, and one can realize cessation, but one cannot cultivate the path to cessation, so there is no edge of direct realization. That is direct realization
