Through the notions of self, belonging to self, permanence, annihilation, causelessness, authorlessness, slander, supreme, principal, especially excellent, sacred, pure, liberation, determined grasping, hesitation, doubt, and knowing with uncertainty, as well as attachment, hatred, pride, and ignorance, it is said, "This exists, this has a basis." If such statements were to arise, they would not, therefore, this is not its meaning. Are these sixteen aspects from the perspective of names or from the perspective of substance? Some say that from the perspective of substance, there are seven, and from the perspective of names, there are sixteen, because origination, cessation, and path are each a single substance. It is said that from the perspective of substance, there are sixteen aspects. Among them, because it depends on conditions, it is impermanent. Because it is the nature of harm, it is suffering. Because it is empty of the opposite of the view of self, it is emptiness. Because it is without self, it is selflessness. As the nature of seed-dharma, it is the cause. As the nature of arising-dharma, it is origination. As the nature of connection, it is arising. As the meaning of manifestation, it is the condition, just as a pot is manifested from the gathering of a lump of clay, ashes, a wheel, a rope, and water. Because the aggregates are destroyed, it is cessation. Because the three fires are extinguished, it is peace. Because there is no harm, it is abundance. Because it is free from all faults, it is definite emergence. As the meaning of going, it is the path. Because it possesses reason, it is reason. As the meaning of truly accomplishing, it is accomplishment. Because it truly transcends, it is true transcendence. Or, because it is not constant, it is impermanent. Because it has become like a burden, it is suffering. Because it is separated from the inner person, it is emptiness. Because there is no author who acts as desired, it is selflessness. As the way of coming, it is the cause. As the way of arising, it is origination. As the way of increasing, it is arising. As the way of separate friction, it is the condition. No connection

Because it severs the connection with bondage, it is obstruction. Because it is free from the three characteristics of conditioned phenomena, it is peace. Because it is virtuous, it is abundant. Because it is the most trustworthy, it is definitely arising. Because it is the opposite of the evil path, it is the path. Because it is the opposite of irrationality, it is rationality. It is the city beyond suffering, accomplished through non-contradictory meaning. Because it is the antidote to all existence, it is definitely giving. It should be stated as desired, because it is the nature of arising and ceasing, it is impermanent. Because it is discordant, it is suffering. Because it is free from self, it is emptiness. Because oneself is not self, it is selflessness. The cause, the arising, the increase, and the condition itself, are what is said in the sutras, these five aggregates of clinging, are rooted in desire, arise from desire, are similar to desire, and increase from desire, this is only what the Buddha said. The word "increase" is only added at the end. So what is the difference between these? Desire has four aspects: I think it is me, this is the desire for the body without distinction. Hoping to become like that, this is the desire for rebirth without distinction. Hoping to become like this, this is the desire for rebirth with distinction. The fourth is the desire for the bondage that connects the continuum. Or it is the desire for karma to manifest. Among them, the first is the initial cause of suffering, so it is the root cause, like the seed of a fruit. The second is arising, because through it can be completely accomplished, like the growth of the sprouts of the fruit and so on. The third is the condition of suffering similar to it, like the field, water, and fertilizer of the fruit and so on. Relying on the field and so on, the fruit has smell, taste, and, ability, and, maturity and power. The fourth is increase, because it arises from it, like the final flower of the fruit. Or, the four desires practiced by craving are two five aggregates and, two four aggregates in the various categories of craving, which are good.
