Because it is not determined that that moment turns into distraction. Isn't it said that it will contradict the scriptures? Contradicting the scriptures is not contradicting the supreme sutras. If asked, why are the differences in the meanings of those words not explained? Because the nature of a distracted mind, sinking, agitation, non-peace, inequality, non-cultivation, and non-liberation, etc., are also said to be without difference. The nature of universal holding and good grasping, etc., are also said to be without difference. The difference in the meaning of words is not that it is not explained, although they are the same in terms of afflictions, but like this, this afflicted mind is distracted, this is sinking, the differences in those faults are explained in detail, similarly, the virtues of good dharmas are also correctly explained, so it is only explaining the difference in meaning. Because not abandoning the contradiction with the sutras, that is not the meaning of those words. If the sutra says that that mind is both sinking and agitated, then when the mind is sinking and doubting sinking, it is not the time to cultivate diligence, samadhi, and equanimity, etc., the limbs of perfect enlightenment. When the mind is agitated and doubting agitation, it is not the time to cultivate dharma discrimination, diligence, and joy, etc., the limbs of perfect enlightenment, these will not be said. Are these limbs of enlightenment to be cultivated separately? It is thought that these are cultivating attention, but not manifest, so there is no fault. From this point of view, the mind with increased laziness is called sinking, and increased agitation is called agitation, so there is no contradiction, because these two are simultaneous, so it is said that that mind is both sinking and agitated. For the words of those who have thoughts, there is no turning back, but the intention of the sutra is not this, so it is said. All minds that have desire are with desire, what is said is, the mind that has desire, which one?
