Because they do not understand the concordant mind, those two are directed towards the antidotes of the desire realm and the higher realms. There is no telepathy on the path of seeing. Its object is existent. If, because of telepathy, one wants to understand the path of seeing and engages in effort, then the Hearer knows two moments of the path of seeing through telepathy, and knows three moments like a rhinoceros horn. The Buddha knows all without effort. The Hearer knows two moments from the path of seeing through telepathy, namely the forbearance of the Dharma-knowledge of suffering and the Dharma-knowledge. The object corresponding to the aspect of subsequent knowledge is to be accomplished by other efforts, so as long as he makes effort, he will successively attain sixteen minds, but he will not know in between. The Solitary Buddha knows the first two and the eighth, the subsequent knowledge of the origin, and the third, because the effort is small. Others say that they know the first, second, and fifteenth. The Buddha knows all the moments of the path of seeing without effort. Furthermore, what is the difference between the knowledge of exhaustion and the knowledge of non-arising? The knowledge of exhaustion is certain for all truths, such as complete knowledge. The knowledge of non-arising considers that there is no need for complete knowledge, etc. The scripture says: What is the knowledge of exhaustion? It is the knowledge that arises from the cause of knowing, "I have completely known suffering," "I have abandoned the origin," "I have realized cessation," "I have cultivated the path," and the knowledge, seeing, clarity, wisdom, realization, intelligence, light, and manifestation that arise from that. This is called the knowledge of exhaustion. What is the knowledge of non-arising? It is the knowledge from "I have completely known suffering, and there is no need to completely know it again," up to "I have cultivated the path, and there is no need to cultivate it again," and the knowledge that arises from that cause is explained in detail. How does one know in this way with uncontaminated knowledge? The Kashmiris say that the scriptures say that one knows in this way because it arises after that, and therefore the difference between the two is shown by their distinction. Others say that even uncontaminated knowledge knows in this way.

Therefore, mentioning "seeing" is either to abandon explanation or to make it manifest. Therefore, some say, "For the time being, whatever is 'knowing' is also 'seeing.'" Thus, these are the ten knowledges: knowledge of the Dharma, subsequent knowledge, conventional knowledge, knowledge of others' minds, knowledge of suffering, knowledge of the origin, knowledge of cessation, knowledge of the path, knowledge of exhaustion, and knowledge of non-arising. Among these, conventional knowledge is one knowledge and also a part of one knowledge. Knowledge of the Dharma is one knowledge and also a part of seven knowledges, and subsequent knowledge is the same. Knowledge of suffering is one knowledge and also a part of four knowledges, and knowledge of the origin and knowledge of cessation are the same. Knowledge of the path is one knowledge and also a part of five knowledges. Knowledge of others' minds is one knowledge and also a part of four knowledges. Knowledge of exhaustion is one knowledge and also a part of six knowledges, and knowledge of non-arising is the same. Why are these three knowledges divided into ten? Because of nature and antidote, aspect and aspect's object, application and action accomplished, and cause and the expansion of cause, there are ten knowledges. It is said that through seven causes, knowledge is divided into ten: from nature, it is conventional knowledge, because it does not understand the ultimate truth. From antidote, it is knowledge of the Dharma and subsequent knowledge, because they are the antidotes to the desire realm and the higher realms. From aspect, it is knowledge of suffering and knowledge of the origin, because the objects of focus are not different. From aspect and object of focus, it is knowledge of cessation and knowledge of the path, because the aspect and object of focus are different. From application, it is knowledge of others' minds, although it is not that it does not understand mental factors, but in order to understand the mind, it is accomplished through application, therefore it is called knowledge of others' minds. From action accomplished, it is knowledge of exhaustion, because it arises first in the continuum where action has been accomplished. From the expansion of cause, it is knowledge of non-arising, because it is the cause of all uncontaminated wisdom. Because it is the antidote to all, knowledge of the Dharma is needed.
