What is the "Lord"? Here, a monk whose mind is detached from desire, and is liberated from desire. Whose mind is detached from hatred and ignorance, and is liberated from them. Like this, to perfect the aggregates of liberation that are not yet complete, or to follow after those that are already complete, what is the aspiration and diligence? Just as it is extensively taught. Therefore, liberation is not just faith alone. Then what is it? It is said that merely by knowing it, abandoning desire and so on, the mind becomes stainless, and that is liberation. The true liberation has been explained. Apart from the true view, what is the true wisdom? Knowing the Bodhi as it is said. What was said earlier about Bodhi, that is what should be understood here as true wisdom. For example, knowing the cessation and knowing the non-arising. Which mind will be liberated? Is it the past, the future, or the present that arises? The mind of no more learning will arise, and will be liberated from the obscurations. It is said in the scriptures that the mind of no more learning will be liberated from various obscurations in the future. What are those obscurations? They are the attainment of afflictions, because they hinder arising. At the time of the Vajra-like Samadhi, it will also be aroused, and the mind of no more learning will arise, and that will also be liberated. Having abandoned it, the mind of no more learning will also arise and be liberated. Then, what is it that does not arise, and what is mundane? Although they will also be liberated, only what is certain to arise is spoken of. From what will the mundane be liberated? It is from the obscuration of arising itself. For the unliberated, will there not also be the arising of the mundane? That is not the same as this. What is that like? It is together with the attainment of afflictions. By what state of the path does it abandon the obscuration of arising? By the path of cessation, it completely abandons its obscuration. Like this, is the meaning of the word "thus". Completely

So, what is said to be liberation as unconditioned? And, what are the realms of abandoning the three realms, the realm of detachment from desire, and the realm of cessation? What are the differences between these? The unconditioned itself is called a realm. The liberated unconditioned itself is the three realms. Among them, the exhaustion of desire and detachment from desire are the realm of detachment from desire. The realm of abandonment is different. It should be understood in conjunction with "complete exhaustion." Abandoning afflictions other than desire is the realm of abandonment. The realm of cessation should be understood in conjunction with "complete exhaustion." Abandoning the four things other than afflictions is the realm of cessation. Will the things that cause aversion also lead to detachment from desire? There are four possibilities. How is it done? Through the patience and wisdom of suffering and its cause. Only patience and wisdom regarding suffering and its origin cause aversion, not others. What is abandoned? Everything leads to detachment from desire. For suffering, origin, cessation, and path, whatever abandons afflictions through patience and wisdom, everything will also lead to detachment from desire. If that is the case, then there are four possibilities. If that is the case, then four possibilities are established: if patience and wisdom regarding suffering and its origin do not abandon afflictions, then it is only aversion, because it only focuses on things that cause aversion. If patience and wisdom regarding cessation and path abandon afflictions, then it is only detachment from desire, because it focuses on things of extreme joy. If the former abandon afflictions, then it is both. If the latter do not abandon afflictions, then it is neither. Among them, if a detached person observes the truths, then Dharma-wisdom and patience will not abandon afflictions. Wisdom will not abandon afflictions included in the path of application, the path of liberation, and the superior path. In the commentary on the Abhidharmakosha, the explanation of the path and the individual is the sixth chapter of the Kosha. The word "patience" also appears.
