Then one will abide in mindfulness. Abiding in mindfulness, because there is no distraction, one can focus the mind. When the mind is focused, one can truly know the truth as it is. In any case, those who are in accordance with the aspects of enlightenment, who are skilled in analysis, the Vaibhashikas, say: The seven parts are like the order, the activity is the first, as well as the factors of determination, and are well distinguished in meditation and seeing. In the state of the initial activity, in order to closely examine the body and so on, are the mindfulnesses. Because of obtaining excellence, in order to correctly increase diligence, for those who have become warm, are the correct and well-established abidings. In order to enter the roots of virtue that will not be completely lost, the peaks are the feet of miraculous power. Again, in order to obtain the senses in a way that will not be completely lost, the forbearance are the senses. In order not to be overcome by afflictions, or not to be overcome by other worldly dharmas, for the excellence of the Dharma are the powers. Because of being close to enlightenment, for the path of meditation are the limbs of enlightenment. Because of being well distinguished by going, for the path of seeing are the limbs of the path, because that is the reason for going quickly. In order to do according to the order of numbers, first seven are explained and later eight are explained. Among them, the Dharma discriminating perfect enlightenment limb is both perfect enlightenment and a limb of perfect enlightenment. Right view is both the path and a limb of the path, they say. Others, only in an order that is not disturbed, proclaim the dharmas that are in accordance with the aspects of enlightenment in order. For a while, only at the beginning, in order to cut off the minds that are scattered to many objects, are the mindfulnesses. These four mindfulnesses are the close ties of the mind, as it says in the sutra: In order to eliminate the conceptualizations of memory based on attachment, therefore it is said. By its power, correctly increasing diligence, because it is necessary to accomplish four necessities, the mind is correctly and well established, therefore it is correctly and well established.

After that, in order to purify samadhi, are the miraculous feet. Because relying on samadhi becomes the master of the transcendental dharmas, therefore faith and so on are the roots. These themselves will surely be victorious from acting in all unfavorable directions, which are the powers. The path of seeing is the limbs of enlightenment, because of realizing the suchness of dharma in the very beginning. The two are the limbs of the path, thus when the eightfold noble path is completely cultivated, cultivating the four mindfulnesses and so on will become completely cultivated until the seven limbs of enlightenment are completely cultivated. The Blessed One spoke thus. Again, Bhikshus, the so-called "speaking the truth as it is," this is another name for the four noble truths. Bhikshus, the so-called "how to enter by the path," this is another name for the eightfold noble path. The Blessed One spoke thus. Therefore, both must accept the eightfold noble path, so that the order can be established. How many of the factors conducive to enlightenment are with outflows? How many are without outflows? It should be said: the limbs of enlightenment, the limbs of the path, are without outflows. Because the two are established on the path of cultivation and the path of seeing. Although there are also worldly right views and so on, they cannot obtain the name "noble path." There are two other kinds. Other factors conducive to enlightenment are both with outflows and without outflows. In which ground are there how many factors conducive to enlightenment? In the first dhyana, all. In the first dhyana, all thirty-seven factors are present. In the uninterrupted state, except for joy. Why is there no joy in the uninterrupted state? Because the proximate states need to be guided by strength, and there are concerns about the lower grounds. In the second dhyana, except for conception. In the second dhyana, there are only thirty-six excluding correct conception, because there is no conception there. In the second, except for those two,
