Arising from what is obtained through seeing. It should be understood that those with the Dharma nature of non-regression are those for whom obtaining through seeing is the precursor. Are these six Arhats only of that kind from the very beginning, or did they become so later? Some are of that kind from the beginning. Some are transformed through training. Some are of the kind with the Dharma nature of decline from the very beginning, while some are transformed from having the Dharma nature of complete decline, and through training the senses, become those with the Dharma nature of decline. It should be understood similarly up to becoming those with the Dharma nature of non-regression. Among them, those with the Dharma nature of complete decline are those who possess the potential to completely decline, but not those with the Dharma nature of decline, etc. Those with the Dharma nature of decline are those who possess the potential to decline. Those with the Dharma nature of subsequent protection are those who possess the potential to be subsequently protected. Those who do not move from abiding are those who, without the power of conditions for complete decline, possess the potential to abide even without subsequent protection, and without the conditions for decline, and without manifest exertion, also possess the potential not to increase. Those with the potential for realization are those who possess the potential to realize non-regression. Those with the Dharma nature of non-regression are only those who possess the potential not to completely decline. The first two do not have constant practice and respectful practice only in the initial stage of learning. The third is the one who constantly practices. The fourth is the one who practices respectfully. The fifth is the one who practices both, but has dull faculties. The sixth is the one who practices both and has sharp faculties. Those with the Dharma nature of complete decline will certainly not completely decline, and even those with the potential for realization will not necessarily realize it, but it is said so because of the possibility. In this way, it is possible for there to be six kinds of Arhats in all three realms. According to those who will certainly transform from complete decline to manifest realization, there are six in the desire realm. In the form and formless realms, there are those who abide...

The immovable ground and the nature of immovability are two. In those two, there is falling away, thinking of death, and no transference of faculties. Among these, from which fruit or from which lineage does one fall away? Four from lineage, five from fruit. The four, such as those who think of death, fall away from lineage. Those who have fallen away do not fall away from their own lineage. The five, such as those who have fallen away, also fall away from the fruit. Also, not from the first. From whatever the first lineage is, from that one does not fall away, because it is stabilized by the paths of learning and non-learning. The learner is stabilized by the paths of the mundane and supramundane. Whatever is attained by later practice, from that one falls away. From whatever the first fruit is, from that one does not fall away. From the remainder, one falls away. Therefore, there is no falling away from the fruit of stream-entry. Thus, those who have fallen away are of three kinds: as they abide in their respective places, they pass into complete nirvana, or transfer their faculties, or fall away and become learners. Those who think of death are of four kinds: those three themselves, and returning to the lineage of those who have fallen away. Likewise, add one to each of the three, and understand that they are five, six, and seven in order. If one becomes a learner, then one abides only in whatever the first lineage is, and not in others. If it is not so, then in order to obtain a special lineage, it will only increase and not fall away. Why is there no falling away from the first fruit? Because those to be abandoned by seeing have no basis, because they have the view of the aggregates as their root, and if they have a basis of self, then there is no self. If so, will one focus on non-existence? Because one focuses on truth, one does not focus on non-existence, it is a reversed focus.
