We are the path of liberation. Among them, the path of no interval is the practice of a renunciate. The paths of liberation are the conditioned fruits of the practice of a renunciate, because they are the concordant cause and the result of a person's actions. The abandonment of those afflictions are the unconditioned fruits of the practice of a renunciate, thus there are eighty-nine. Since this is the case, is it necessary to supplement what the Buddha said? It is not necessary, even though there are many fruits, the establishment of the four fruits is because there are five causes. The Blessed One said that in whatever stage of the path of abandonment the five causes exist, there the fruit is established. What are the five? Abandoning the previous path on the fruit, obtaining others, the exhaustion aggregate, obtaining the eight aggregates of consciousness, and obtaining the sixteen aspects. Abandoning the previous path and obtaining a path that did not exist before is because of abandoning and obtaining the path of stream-entry and the path of fruition. The aggregate of abandonment is because of finding one that is obtained by all. Obtaining the eight aggregates of consciousness simultaneously are the four dharmas and subsequent dharmas. Obtaining the sixteen aspects are the aspects of impermanence and so on. These five causes are present in each fruit. If only the path of no outflows is the practice of a renunciate, then how can the two fruits obtained by the worldly path be the fruits of the practice of a renunciate? The fruit obtained by the worldly path is because of mixing and obtaining no outflows. In this regard, the fruit of once-returner or the fruit of non-returner is not only the fruit of abandonment by the worldly path. What is it then? The fruit of abandonment by the path of seeing should also be mixed in it, because of obtaining a fruit that aggregates all that is obtained. Therefore, it is said in the sutra: What is the fruit of once-returner? It is the one who has abandoned the three bonds and has weakened desire, hatred, and delusion. What is the fruit of non-returner? It is the one who has abandoned the five bonds that correspond to the lower part of the bonds. By its power, completely

Because of non-regression, for the sake of immortality, the attainment of separation is abandoned by the stainless, and it is also held. For this reason, this is also considered the fruit of a renunciate. Whatever is said as the conduct of a renunciate, that is the conduct of Brahma, the wheel of Brahma. For the sake of abandoning afflictions, it is the conduct of Brahma. The wheel of Brahma is because it is turned by Brahma. The Bhagavan is Brahma because he possesses the supreme conduct of Brahma. As it is said in the Sutra: The Bhagavan is also called Brahma, and is also called peaceful and cool. Because this wheel belongs to him, it is the wheel of Brahma, because it is turned by him. The Dharma wheel is the path of seeing, because it moves, it is a wheel. Because it is in accordance with it, the path of seeing is the Dharma wheel. How is this in accordance with the Dharma? By means of spokes such as going quickly, etc. Because of going quickly, because of abandoning and entering, because of making the unvictorious victorious and the victorious abide, because of leaping and descending, so going quickly, etc., is like that. Venerable Yang Sheng says that the eightfold noble path is called a wheel because it is in accordance with the Dharma of spokes, etc. Right view, right thought, right effort, and right mindfulness are like spokes. Right speech, right action, and right livelihood are like the hub. Right concentration is like the rim. The path of seeing is the Dharma wheel, from where does this come? Because when the noble Kaundinya arose, it was said that the Dharma wheel had been turned. How are the three repetitions and twelve aspects? The distinction makers say: This is the noble truth of suffering. It should be completely known. It has been completely known, these are the three repetitions. Each repetition gives rise to an eye. Wisdom arises, reason arises, intelligence arises, these are the twelve aspects, and each truth is the same. Because the three sets and twelve are in accordance with the Dharma, it is said to be three repetitions, twelve aspects. Two and place
