Furthermore, ignorance also arises from the cause of improper attention. Improper attention also arises from the cause of ignorance. Thus it is said. They say that this is also explained because it is included in grasping. How is improper attention included in grasping? If it is said that it is due to similarity, then it should also be included in existence and ignorance. Even if it is admitted that it is included in it, how is it shown here that ignorance arises from the cause of impropriety? If only by being included in it, one can know the nature of cause and effect, then attachment and ignorance, etc., are also included in it, so it can not become another limb. Others say that the cause of ignorance is said in the sutras to be improper attention. Because depending on the eye and form, etc., the impurity of attention born of delusion arises, it is said at the time of contact. Also, it is said in the sutras that ignorance gathers, and attachment arises depending on the feeling born of contact, so there is definitely ignorance at the time of feeling. Thus, the improper attention that arises at the time of contact is established as the nature of the condition of ignorance that accompanies feeling, so ignorance is not without cause, nor should it be supplemented by other limbs. It is also not endless, because there is a saying that the impurity of attention born of delusion arises, because improper attention is also said to be born of delusion. If so, should it be said here because it is said elsewhere? It should not be said. Although it is not said, how can it be known? It is known by reason. By what reason? That is, the feeling of arhats, because there is no ignorance, is not the cause of attachment. Undistorted existence is also not the cause of feeling of affliction. The contact of arhats without ignorance is also not distorted, because of this reason. Therefore, one should believe in what is in accordance with reason.

If it can be understood even without explanation, that would be too extreme. Therefore, this is not an answer. Because there is no explanation other than ignorance and aging and death, it is considered that samsara has a beginning and an end, which is merely an irrefutable accusation, and it is not an incomplete explanation either. Why? Because here it is only intended to express so much to those who are confused about how to connect from the other world to this world, and from this world to the other world. That is, "to dispel confusion about the past and future extremes." Because this has already been said before. The Blessed One said: Monks, I will also explain to you dependent origination and the laws of dependent origination. Then, what is the difference between these? For the time being, there is no difference from nominal embellishment, because both are said to be all conditioned dharmas. Now, how can we call the future that has not yet happened dependent origination? For the time being, how can we call the future that has not yet been created conditioned dharmas? Because it is contemplated by the mind that manifests creation. What about the unpolluted dharmas? Those are also contemplated with good intentions in order to be obtained. If Nirvana is also included, it would be too extreme, if you think so. Because it is of the same kind as Nirvana, it is compared to it in the same way, for example, for the time being, that which can become form is also called form because it is of the same kind as form, so there is no fault in this. The view of the sutra is: here, arising is the cause, and what has arisen is considered the result. The limb that becomes the cause is dependent origination, because it arises from this. The limb that becomes the result is dependent origination, in this way, all the limbs become cause and result, so both can be established. Even so, it is not that there is no distinction based on dependence. Depending on what it becomes dependent origination, depending on that, it is not dependent origination.

Like cause and effect, like father and son. The venerable Samrdzog says: It is dependent arising, and there are also non-dependent arising dharmas, there are four possibilities. The first possibility is future dharmas. The second is the last extinguished dharma of the Arhat, and the dharmas that arise now. The third is other than that, past and present dharmas. The fourth is unconditioned dharmas. It is said that they say so. Here, the Sutra school refutes: What are these? Is it a self-willed interpretation according to one's own wishes, or is it the meaning of the Sutra? Answer: It is the meaning of the Sutra. If it is said to be the meaning of the Sutra, then this is not the meaning of the Sutra. If you ask why, for the time being, this temporary dependent arising is the twelve branches of the five aggregates with twelve branches, which is contrary to the Sutra. In the Sutra, what is ignorance? Answer: It is not knowing the previous limit. This is explained in detail. Because the definitive meaning is not the provisional meaning, this is not the meaning of the Sutra. From the perspective of the teaching, everything is not only the definitive meaning, but also how to show the main point. For example, like looking at the footprint of an elephant. If you ask what is the earth element, take this as an example, like hair and beard. Because there are other forms and so on. Similarly, here too, the main point is shown as it is. This is not a metaphor, because from that, what would show the incomplete hair and so on of the earth element? No, but from that, only hair and so on show the earth element. Because there is no earth element other than hair and so on, this is only a complete display. Similarly, from here, ignorance and so on are only completely complete displays, not with the remainder. If you ask, apart from hair and so on, are there no earth elements in tears, saliva, snot, and so on? This has already been shown, because it is said that this body has other things. Or, if it is only that
