If someone asks, shouldn't we answer that for those texts that practice, it is said that all subtle details will increase? How should we answer this? Answer: There are five kinds of minds that connect with self-nature in beings. Therefore, there is no fault in mentioning beings including entering the womb, just as mentioning a village also includes the vicinity of the village. Some say that there are also virtuous and afflicted ones. Because they are made separately from those karmas, it is said to be separate, but it is not necessarily certain that they are made separately. For example, in the five degenerations, although the degeneration of afflictions and the degeneration of views are said to be separate, views are not not afflictions. Similarly, the existence of karma is also, beings are also, and in order to understand the cause of beings, this is also shown separately. Someone says: In this way, the intermediate state of existence also has faults. Answer: Because it is not permissible, it is not. Because walking there is the reason for being a being, if the intermediate state of existence is not to be walked, because it is born in the place of death transference. Beings in the formless realm are also not beings, because they are born in the place of death transference. If this is the case, then just because it is an intermediate state of existence, the intermediate state of existence is not a being, because it is the intermediate state of beings. If it becomes a being, then it will not become the so-called intermediate state of existence. Then, how should we understand what the permanent Shariputra said, "After ripening, entering the ranks called hell"? Since it is said "after ripening," why not say it is only ripening? Then, how should we understand what the venerable one said, "Apart from those dharmas, hell will not be seen"? Not seeing a hell different from the aggregates is to prevent the self-nature of the person who goes to beings, not to prevent other aggregates. The Vaibhashikas say: Beings are only those that are unobscured and unindicated. Some of them say: It is only the nature of the ripened. Others say: It is also the nature that arises from growth. In this very triple world of the five kinds of beings.
