Whatever arises in dependence on something, that thing arises immediately after it. For example, even without a similar immediate cause, there are sprouts and so on from seeds and so on. Why are the minds and mental factors of arhats not similar immediate causes? Because they are not connected to other minds. If that is the case, then the mind that has just ceased is the mind, because there is no immediately following consciousness, so the last mind will not become the mind either? The mind is distinguished by the entity of the basis, but not by the function, because the basis itself lacks the cause of existence, so consciousness Others will not arise, that's all. The similar immediate cause is distinguished by function. Therefore, whatever dharma is taken as the result, no dharma or all beings can prevent it from not arising. Which dharmas are the similar immediate causes of the mind, are those dharmas also the immediate causes of the mind? There are four possibilities: the first is the mind arising from the samadhi without mind, and the second moment of entering samadhi and so on. The second possibility is the first moment of entering samadhi and the arising of the state with mind and so on. The third possibility is the first moment of entering samadhi and the state with mind and so on. The fourth possibility is the second moment of entering samadhi and so on, and the arising of the mind of rising and so on. Which dharmas are the similar immediate causes of the mind, are those dharmas also the immediate causes of entering samadhi? There are four possibilities: whichever are the third and fourth, those are the first and second. Whichever are the first and second, those are said to be the third and fourth. Now, how can the mind that has been interrupted for a long time after rising from samadhi be called the similar immediate cause of the mind of entering samadhi? Because there are other minds offering. The similar immediate cause has been explained. The object is all dharmas. Appropriately, the object of eye consciousness is form, the object of ear consciousness is sound, the object of nose consciousness is

The earth's is smell. The tongue's consciousness is taste. The body's consciousness is touch. The mind's consciousness is all dharmas. If a dharma is the object of another dharma, then that dharma, even if it is not the object, is never the object because it has such a nature. For example, wood and so on, although they do not burn, are called fuel because they have such a nature. How are the mind and mental factors, the sources of arising, matter, and moments, which are defined by moments, determined as objects? Or, are they also determined by relying on determination? It is said that it is so. Those that are born are together with dependence. Those that are unborn and those that have passed are not related to dependence. Others say that those that have passed are also together with dependence. The objective condition has been explained. The acting cause is explained as the lord. Whatever is the acting cause is the lord's condition. This condition is extra, so it is the lord's condition. If the objective condition is also all dharmas, and the lord's condition is also all dharmas, then what is extra in this? The dharmas that arise together are never the objective condition, but they are the lord's condition, so there is something extra in this. Or it is an extra condition, since all dharmas are of all conditioned things except their own nature. Even with all four conditions, is there a dharma that is not a condition of dharma? Yes, like one's own nature is the condition of one's own nature. There is also the nature of another, such as the unconditioned is the condition of the conditioned, and the unconditioned is the condition of the unconditioned. Also, when these conditions act, on what state of dharma do they act? For a while, from the detailed explanation of the types of causal conditions, the two causes act on cessation. Cessation is the present, because it is directed towards cessation. There, the causes that arise together and are in accordance act, and those two act on the result that arises together. The three act on arising. Arising is the future, because it is directed towards arising. There, the equal share and all
