There are eighteen occurrences, namely ten in the first ground, six in the afflicted ground, and investigation and analysis. The view is the same as before, no more. It is thought that there are twelve other undeclared ones. Other than the obscured and undeclared are the unobscured and undeclared. For that, it is thought that twelve mental events arise, namely ten multi-ground ones, and investigation and analysis. Some others think that regret is also undeclared, and that unpleasantness is also undeclared, like pleasantness. According to them, there will be thirteen minds that correspond to it. Sleep does not contradict everything. Whoever has it, add it. Sleep is virtuous, non-virtuous, and undeclared, so it does not contradict all the minds mentioned above. Therefore, it should be known that whoever has it, add it to it. Whoever has twenty-two occurrences has twenty-three. Whoever has twenty-three occurrences has twenty-four, and so on. The mental events of the desire realm that are thought to be so are definitely explained. Of these, regret, sleep, non-virtue, etc., are not in the first dhyana. In the first dhyana, regret and sleep, as mentioned above, and anything slightly non-virtuous, such as anger, etc., except for deceit and pride, and resentment, shamelessness, and impudence, are all absent, and everything else is the same as it. Those that are absent in the first dhyana, and investigation, are also absent in special dhyana, and the rest are the same as it. Above it there is also analysis. Above the special dhyana, the second dhyana and so on, and in the formless realm, as mentioned above, investigation and analysis are also absent. Also, the word "also" means that deceit and deception are also absent, and the rest are the same as it. There is deception between the Brahmins, because it is not related to the retinue, so it is not above. That is because, in his own retinue, the horse-taming bhikshu asked where these great elements would completely cease, and because he did not know, he said that I am Brahma, I am the Great Brahma.

The powerful one. The doer. The emanation. The giver. The bestower. Like the father of all things, this word has been entrusted to the wind. Wherever, wherever the mind is, and how many things arise from the mind, these have been spoken of. Now, the different functions of some mental factors in the scriptures will be discussed. What is the difference between shamelessness and recklessness? Disrespect is shamelessness. Disrespect towards virtues and those who possess virtues, that is, lack of respect, not being controlled by fear, this is shamelessness, the opposite of respect. Recklessness. Not regarding the fear of misdeeds. What is called misdeed is what is condemned by the noble ones, and not regarding these fears is recklessness. Here, fear is the undesirable result, because fear arises from this. How should this be understood? Is it disregarding fear, or not regarding it as fear? And what will happen then? If it is disregarding fear, then it will be understood as wisdom. If it is not regarding it as fear, then it will be understood as ignorance. Regarding is not regarding itself, and not regarding is not not regarding itself. So what is it? It is the proximate afflictions of those two, that is called recklessness. Others say that, with regard to oneself, not avoiding faults is shamelessness, and with regard to others, it is recklessness. Even so, how can two considerations be established simultaneously? It is not said that one considers oneself and others simultaneously. However, some non-avoidance is with regard to oneself, and that is shamelessness. Some is with regard to others, and that is recklessness. Conversely, it should be understood as having shame and having scruples. For the time being, according to the first speculation, having respect, having reverence, and being controlled by fear, this is having shame. Fearing misdeeds, this is having scruples. According to the second speculation, it is the avoidance arising from considering oneself and others.
