Secondly, these five dharmas are of two kinds to be abandoned by seeing and meditating, because they are associated with both kinds of afflictions. Whatever is associated with what is to be abandoned by seeing is what is to be abandoned by seeing. Other than that, it is to be abandoned by meditation. Other than these, the near afflictions included in the pervasive entanglements, such as jealousy, stinginess, regret, anger, and concealment, are only to be abandoned by meditation. These five near afflictions are autonomous, because they are associated only with ignorance. Just as the five near afflictions such as jealousy are to be abandoned by meditation and are autonomous, so are the six stains of affliction similar to them. The near afflictions as described above are unwholesome in the desire realm. In the desire realm, they are unwholesome. Among these, three are of two kinds. Dullness, agitation, and sleep are unwholesome and indeterminate. Above that, they are indeterminate. The near afflictions above the desire realm are indeterminate as appropriate. If one wants to know how many of these exist where, in the desire realm and the first dhyana, there are deceit and deception. These two exist in the desire realm and the first dhyana. If one asks how deception exists in the Brahma realm, it is because Brahma deceives. Because the Great Brahma shows himself in a perverse way, he joined the ranks of deceiving the venerable Ashvajit. Deceit has already been mentioned, but it is mentioned again because it came up incidentally. Dullness, agitation, and pride are in the three realms. These three exist in the three realms. Others are born from the desire realm. Five are abandoned out of sixteen, and eleven near afflictions only operate in the desire realm. Afflictions and near afflictions have been explained. Again, how many of these are objects of mind? How many are objects of the six consciousnesses? In short, what is to be abandoned by seeing and pride are objects of mind and the six consciousnesses. All that is to be abandoned by seeing are objects of mind, and sleep and pride, as well as what is to be abandoned by meditation, are all objects of mind.

They are mental factors. These are all mental factors of the mind. The afflictive emotions that are close by are also free. Those who are free from afflictive emotions, all those that should be abandoned through meditation, should also be regarded as solely mental factors of the mind. Others are dependent on the six consciousnesses. Other afflictions and near afflictions should be known as dependent on the six consciousnesses. Furthermore, what else is there? Attachment that should be abandoned through meditation, and anger, and ignorance, etc., and the near afflictions that are similar and correspond to them, such as shamelessness, and lack of embarrassment, and lethargy, and agitation, etc., and what is said among the many mental factors of afflictions. What are the five faculties such as happiness? Among them, which faculty corresponds to which affliction, or which near affliction? Happiness, etc., and desire. Correspond. Desire corresponds to happiness and joy, etc. Anger is the opposite. Suffering, etc., is a synonym, corresponding to suffering and displeasure, because desire and anger, etc., enter into the aspect of joy and sorrow, and because they are mental factors of the six consciousnesses. All ignorance, etc., and. Ignorance, etc., corresponds to all afflictions, and also corresponds to all five faculties. No view, joy, suffering, etc., the suffering of the mind is displeasure. Joy is the joy of the mind, wrong view corresponds to them, is the order of those with meritorious deeds and those with sinful deeds. Displeasure and doubt. Doubt devours, when seeking the meaning of certainty, it becomes displeasure. Other joy and, other secondary afflictions correspond only to joy. Furthermore, what else is one?
