It is said that it is said for the sake of doing this. The former teachers said: In order to be able to dwell in the heavens in the kalpa, this is the merit of the four Brahmās. It means, how much merit is needed to be able to joyfully dwell in the heavens in the kalpa? This is the merit of Brahmā, because the life of the attendants in front of Brahmā can last for a kalpa. In other divisions it is also said: Generating the merit of Brahmā, one can joyfully dwell in the heavens in the kalpa. It appears in the form of a verse. The giving of wealth has been explained, and now the giving of Dharma will be explained. He said: The giving of Dharma is without afflictions, and the sutras etc. are truly taught as they are. The giving of Dharma is because the sutras etc. are without afflictions, so they are truly taught as they are. Therefore, those who teach the Dharma in a wrong way, or whose minds are full of afflictions, and who fall for the sake of fame and gain and respect, are actually diminishing their own great merit. As the basis for doing good, the three kinds of good deeds have been explained separately. Merit, nirvāṇa, and the three kinds of good deeds that are in accordance with the decisive division. What is in accordance with the part of merit is the result that is pleasing when it ripens. What is in accordance with the part of liberation is when it is born, when will it be transformed into a Dharma that is completely liberated from suffering. For those who are excited after hearing the words of the faults of saṃsāra, selflessness, and the merits of transcending hell, and even shed tears, it should be known that they have the root of virtue that is in accordance with the part of liberation. Just as in summer, from the growth of new shoots, one knows that there are seeds in the battlefield. What is in accordance with the decisive division is the four kinds of warmth etc., which will be explained later. What is the nature of the worldly letters, measurements, counting, poetry, and numbers? The action that is completely grasped by reason, and the three motivations, including letters, measurements, and numbers, poetry and numbers, are arranged in order. To be grasped by reason means to be grasped by the difference of methods. The three actions refer to the actions of body, speech, and mind. First of all, it is the letters.

Dancing and gestures are the occupations of the body, they fully contain and evoke everything. Counting and poetry are the occupations of speech, therefore they are the nature of the five aggregates. Numbers are the occupation of the mind, which summarizes all the laws of the mind. Now some names are to be said: evil deeds and sins, afflicted ones, sinful ones, obscurations and evils, these are the names of the afflicted dharmas. Immaculate good, abundance, abundance, these are the names of the uncontaminated good dharmas. Other than evil and abundance, the rest are considered intermediate. Conditioned good should be practiced, to be practiced refers to the names of conditioned good dharmas. The rest are considered not to be practiced. Why is the unconditioned not to be practiced? Because it cannot be habituated, and if it is practiced for the sake of fruit, then there is no fruit either. All other dharmas are superior, liberation is unsurpassed. There is nothing more excellent than Nirvana, because it is both good and constant, therefore it surpasses everything. In the explanation of the Abhidharma-kosa, the explanation called karma is the fourth chapter of the kosa. It is said: Karma produces various worlds. These karmas are also accumulated by subtle increases, and without subtle increases, existence cannot manifest, therefore, it should be known that the root of existence is subtle increase. When afflictions arise, they do ten things: make the root firm, make the continuum exist, cultivate in the field, accomplish similar causes, manifest the existence of karma, completely hold one's retinue, be completely ignorant of the object, lead the continuum of consciousness, cause it to waver from the side of virtue, and universally bind in the sense of not transcending the realm. So, what are these subtle increases? In short, what are the six sixes? Desire is the same.
