Other divisions arise from the division of karma. If, within a single boundary, actions are purified due to discord. The division of karma exists in the three continents, only where the teachings exist. If a certain monk says, then in divisions of the sangha exceeding one hundred, there are six instances where it does not occur. Which six? First, before the occurrence of a dual boundary fault; second, before the passing of the Teacher; third, in places where boundaries have not been demarcated. Division of the sangha does not occur. First, not long after the turning of the wheel of Dharma; lastly, at the time when the Bhagavan fully enters nirvana. In these two instances, the sangha is not of one essence. In between, division does not occur before a fault has arisen, until the teachings have a fault of discipline and a fault of view. Division also does not occur before a dual fault has arisen, until a supreme dual of hearers has not arisen. Because it is not fully abiding, therefore it will be reconciled. Division also does not occur if the Teacher passes away, because after the Teacher fully enters nirvana, there is no rival. Division also does not occur in places where boundaries have not been demarcated, because division does not occur before boundaries have been demarcated, because within a single boundary, it exists in two aspects, therefore it is called division. Thus, in these six instances, division of the sangha does not occur. Because it depends on karma, division also does not occur in the sangha of all Buddhas. Why is killing one's father, etc., an action of immediate retribution, while others are not? Because of cutting off benefit and the field of merit, and because of abandoning and annihilating. Temporarily, not killing is because of cutting off benefit. How are these two a benefit? Because the body is born from them. How is abandoning them? It is completely abandoning. Because it is a field of merit, killing an arhat, etc., is also an action of immediate retribution. If a father or mother changes sex, then for that same body: even if the sex changes, it changes. Therefore, if one kills a person who is neither a father nor a mother, nor an arhat, will one be touched by the fault of immediate retribution? One will be touched, if the mother changes sex.

If one kills due to transformation, one will be touched by the fault of the uninterrupted crime. If one kills a woman who is neither a mother nor an Arhat, is there a fault of being touched by the uninterrupted crime? Yes. It is said that if one kills due to transformation, one will be touched by the fault of the uninterrupted crime. If fluid drips from another woman and is poured into the vagina of another woman, whose mother is it that if killed, it becomes uninterrupted? Answer: From whose menstruation it came. That sentient being, from whose menstruation it came, that is its mother. Secondly, all actions are actions of semen, that is, suckling milk, nourishing, and giving birth. If one has intercourse with the mother and then kills another, it will not become uninterrupted; but if one has intercourse with a non-mother and then kills the mother, it will become uninterrupted. For example, killing the mother who is under the bed, or the bathing son having intercourse with a female dog and killing the father. If one kills the mother and another with one method, the non-manifestation is two, and the manifestation is only the uninterrupted crime, because that action is powerful. The monk Yangdro says that because fine dust accumulates, the manifestation is also two kinds. If one kills an Arhat with the perception of a non-Arhat, one will also commit the uninterrupted crime, because one definitely grasps the basis thinking, "I will kill this one." If someone kills the father Arhat, then he will only commit one uninterrupted crime, because the basis is the same. Go and say to the hairy one, "You have committed two uninterrupted crimes, one is killing the father, and the other is killing the Arhat." What is the expression of this understanding like? Answer: It should be said, "Because of two reasons." Or, "Slandered from two doors." If one draws blood from the Tathagata with malice, will one not be eaten by ghosts and commit the uninterrupted crime? Answer: If one intends to harm, one will commit it; but if one intends to strike the Buddha, one will not. If one strikes when one has not attained Arhatship, and under the beating one attains Arhatship, then it is not for the Arhat under the beating. The phrase "commits the uninterrupted crime" should be added, because he did not do that to him.
