And it contradicts the treatise that says, "It is like that." Those are also cut off by men and women. Both men and women can cut them off completely. Others say that it is not cut off by women because of desire and diligent attachment. Those who possess superior faculties undoubtedly possess eight faculties, which contradicts this treatise. Among them, indulgence in desire does not completely cut off, because the mind is wavering. What is it then? It is wrong view. Because the thought of sin is firm and malicious. Therefore, it is not cut off by hermaphrodites and others, because it is in accordance with the aspect of indulging in desire. Like the evil destinies, what is the nature of completely cutting off the roots of virtue? It is non-possession. When the attainment of the roots of virtue does not arise, and what has not been attained arises, then when this non-possession arises, it is called the complete cutting off of the roots of virtue. How does this complete cutting off connect? Connection is doubt, because of having views. When does doubt about cause and effect arise in this, or the meaning of right view arises, that is, when having views arises, also because its attainment is completely practiced, the roots of virtue are connected. Connection is the simultaneous connection of nine aspects, but manifestly it changes gradually, like gaining strength from being without illness. Furthermore, the connection of those is not from doing actions without interval. Others will change because of this, but will not do actions without interval. Therefore, with that in mind, this person is not only endowed with the opportunity to connect the roots of virtue in the present dharma, but this will definitely connect the roots of virtue at the time of death or birth in hells. Birth is abiding in the intermediate state. Death is manifestly tending towards death. Among them, those who completely cut off by the power of cause will connect at the time of death. Those who completely cut off by the power of conditions will connect at the time of birth.

Furthermore, severing by one's own power is the same as severing by the power of another. It is also said that whoever completely severs with weakened mindfulness will only be reborn in the present dharma. Whoever severs with weakened mindfulness and application will be reborn after the body is destroyed. The same applies to weakened views and weakened views and ethics. All roots of virtue are universally proclaimed, but there are also those that are not necessarily determined to be evil. There are four sentences. The first sentence refers to completion, etc. The second sentence refers to Ajatasatru. The third sentence refers to Devadatta. The fourth sentence refers to those other than them. The maturation of the perverted view that completely severs the roots of virtue is the uninterrupted hell. Those who commit uninterrupted deeds are in that or in another. This is the order of karma, so it should be said here that one path of karma and mind arise simultaneously. Among the eight unwholesome ones, thoughts arise simultaneously. Briefly, those that arise simultaneously with one mind are those in which greed, etc., are manifest without remainder, or the mind is of the nature of affliction, and its application ultimately completes any of the forms. Those who arise with two are those who become angry and kill, and those who take what is not given with greed, or who engage in sexual misconduct, or who speak frivolous words. Those who arise with three are those who, with greed, suddenly rob others of living beings who have been killed. If so, is it not the case that taking what is not given is ultimately accomplished only by desire? The determined one should know that it is complete when it is not in accordance with other minds. When greed is manifest, if the application of it ultimately completes two forms, it will only arise with three. Those who arise with four are those who speak false words or harsh words with the intention of distinguishing and acting. In this case, one is the mind and three are the words. Also, if the application of those transformed by greed, etc., ultimately completes the other three, then five and six
