There is neither smoke nor residue of ash. For example, whether it is butter or rapeseed oil, when burned and consumed in the sky, there is neither smoke nor residue of ash. In the same way, this great earth and the king of mountains, Mount Meru, when burned and consumed, have no residue of ash. It is said thus: At the time of the era, in this world of living beings, the clouds will not release even a little water. A single sun will exhaust the grass and reeds, as well as medicines, seeds, and many trees. The second sun will cause the small ponds to dry up, and similarly, the small rivers will dry up. The third sun will eliminate the waters of the great ponds and great rivers. The vast lake inhabited by non-humans, called "Madro" (Anavatapta, 無熱惱池), which is very pleasing and filled with pure water, will be dried up by the fourth sun. Filled with many precious things and very frightening, where great assemblies of sentient beings reside, those oceans will be completely scorched by the five suns and will completely dry up. The earth, snow, and Mount Meru, as well as the seven great golden mountains, will be intensely scorched by the six suns, causing very high smoke to rise from everywhere. When the seventh sun rises, emitting a network of light here, at that time, all the earth and mountains will become extremely blazing. Those seven suns, possessing a beautiful network of light, will wander everywhere. This earth and the golden foundation, the eight hells and all the mountains, as well as the dwellings of the radiant gods, having gone to the place of all desires, losing the very lovely desire gods, will burn the abodes of Brahma. As it is said, after burning everything completely, the suns of the end of time, possessing great splendor, will themselves become powerless, destroyed and ruined by impermanence. Therefore, knowing that Mount Meru, the great ocean, the earth, and the high heavens will all be exhausted, for the sake of those noble beings who rely on it, always place your mind on the supreme state. It should be done this way. The Bhagavan also prophesied about the seven suns, saying this: Monks, all conditioned phenomena are impermanent, unstable, and not breathing.

Therefore, it is the nature of change. Monks, it is good to be weary of all conditioned things. It is good to be without attachment. It is good to be completely liberated. Monks, when a long time has passed, there is a time when it does not rain, and there is a season for it. Because it does not rain, all the collections of seeds, collections of trees, medicines, grasses, and fruit trees on this great earth become dry and unsuitable. Monks, in this way, all conditioned things are impermanent. In this way, they are not stable. In this way, they are not breathing. In this way, they are the nature of change. Monks, it is good to be weary of all conditioned things. It is good to be without attachment. It is good to be completely liberated. Monks, it is said that when a long time has passed, there is a time for it and a season for it. As before, all the sutras should be recited. In this world, even in words, wind will rise in the sky. Only then will this world be said to be ultimately destroyed in twenty intermediate kalpas. When this world remains after being destroyed in twenty intermediate kalpas, it should also be said to have arisen. After a long time, there is a time when a gentle wind rises in the sky, and there is a season for it. Only then will this world realm be said to be ultimately abiding after being destroyed in twenty intermediate kalpas. When this world is formed in twenty intermediate kalpas, it should also be said to arise. Those also grow and become dense, and that is the circle of wind, which is one million six hundred thousand yojanas in height. The width is countless and immeasurable. It is very stable and hard, and the power of the great black wind, the extreme pressure, and the son of no greed can also be spread on it, and even a diamond cannot break it. After a long time, there is a time when a stream of water rains down on that circle of wind as thick as the axle of a chariot, and there is a season for it. The circles of wind that are there, they with the water...
