Monks, when all the petals of the flowers of the gods of the Thirty-three Heavens' tree of perfect gathering are in full bloom, the fragrance of all the flowers of the perfect gathering tree in full bloom will spread in all directions for a hundred yojanas. If it is not the direction in which the fragrance spreads, it will spread for fifty yojanas. Within eighty yojanas, the light and color will shine brightly, bright and clear. Below the perfectly blooming tree of perfect gathering, the gods of the Thirty-three Heavens will, for four months in the summer, enjoy and possess the five celestial pleasures, they will play and frolic, enjoy all kinds of joy, and experience the fruits of their karma. In the intermediate sutra, it says: First the leaves turn yellow, then buds appear like frog's eyes. The frog's eyes crack open, the flowers bud, the flowers bloom, and all are in full bloom. In the shade of the tree of perfect gathering, there is a stone slab like an amra fruit belonging to the gods of the Thirty-three Heavens. It is fifty yojanas long, fifty yojanas wide, two hundred yojanas in circumference, and six and one-eighteenth yojanas thick. The shape is beautiful, the appearance is pleasing, and it is painted beautifully with one hundred and one kinds of colors, smooth and extremely soft, like the leaves of a cotton tree or the leaves of cotton wool.
