This place is included in the conventional truth, because it is focused on the meaning of pervasive affliction. Because it is focused on pervasive affliction, it is not for purification. The nature of other-dependence is said to be true pervasive conceptualization, and in this there is non-true pervasive conceptualization, or by this one makes non-true pervasive conceptualization. As the Blessed Maitreya said: Pervasive conceptualization, other-dependence, and perfect reality, for the sake of meaning, true non-conceptualization, because both are absent, it is declared. Like that and so on. Those two are also the mind and mental factors of the three realms, among which the mind is focused on the nature of meaning, and the mental factor is focused on the difference. Non-true pervasive conceptualization, mind and mental factors are included in the three realms, among which seeing meaning is consciousness, and its difference is born from mental factors. Thus it is said. Moreover, that has three aspects, namely the alaya-consciousness, the afflicted mind, and the transforming consciousness. Among these, because it becomes the basis of the seeds of all pervasively afflicted dharmas, it is the alaya, and because it closely focuses on its own nature, it is consciousness. Ignorance of self, view of self, attachment to self, and pride in self, because it is constantly associated with these four afflictions, it is afflicted, and because it constantly clings to self as 'I', it is mind. Because it arises again and again, it is transforming, and because it closely focuses on the object, it is consciousness. Among these, the first appears as body, place, and enjoyment, body is the sense faculties, place is the vessel world, enjoyment is the five objects, and its appearance is its aspect. Transforming consciousness is the six aggregates of consciousness. Non-true pervasive conceptualization, again, has four aspects, namely appearing as meaning, appearing as sentient beings, appearing as self, and appearing as knowable consciousness, these are the four. Among these, the alaya-consciousness appearing as enjoyment and place is appearing as meaning. That which appears as body is appearing as sentient beings. The afflicted mind is appearing as self, the alaya-consciousness.

Because it clings to self-nature. The entering consciousness is the consciousness that appears as being able to discriminate, because it appears to hold all objects. Unreal conceptualization is divided into two types, and also transforms into six types. How are there two types? Namely, the characteristic of what is grasped and the characteristic of what grasps, because it appears as the characteristic of what is grasped and what grasps. How are there six types? Namely, those themselves are made into three types each, appearing as body, place, and enjoyment, as well as mind and close grasping, and discriminations. Among these, mind refers to the afflicted mind. Close grasping refers to the five entering consciousnesses. Discrimination refers to the consciousness of mind, because it is the nature of uniquely discriminating. Unreal conceptualization also transforms into eight types, namely, the alaya consciousness, the afflicted mind, and the six entering consciousnesses, totaling eight. Those unreal conceptualizations are all contaminated activities, all pervasive defilements, and all cycles of existence. The nature of perfect accomplishment is the nature of emptiness of unreal conceptualization. Empty of what? Empty of two, namely, conceptualized by what is grasped and what grasps. The characteristic of that emptiness is considered to be the nature of being non-dual and indivisible for any unreal conceptualization. Because this emptiness, due to the absence of two realities, is not a reality; and because it is the nature of non-duality, it is also not non-existent. In the Noble "Saṃdhinirmocana Sūtra" and others, it is said that it is neither different from activities nor not different. Thus, if it were not different from activities, then children seeing activities should also be able to see emptiness. In this way, due to seeing the truth, one would regress from an Arhat to a Fully Enlightened Buddha. Furthermore, activities are pervasively defiled, similarly, emptiness should also become pervasively defiled, emptiness.
