Regarding the statement about "earth": If it is true through one's own experience, then it is something to be known, but it is not the nature of knowing. If one says this, it is not reasonable. Because, when the nature of clarity is individually ascertained and experienced, the individual experiences of blue and so on are established. Apart from that, even if thousands of causes were to gather, it would not be established. Therefore, considering this as distinct and as the ultimate result of the collection of causes, it is indeed the agent of experiencing. Or, because this enables knowing, it is called "knowing"; or, this itself is the essence of awareness and knowing, so it is reasonable to be "knowing." These two establish that all phenomena are the essence of the nature of knowing, because apart from that, there is no valid means to establish knowing. Because from the proximity of the causes of knowing, one sees that it arises itself. Those with reason and others say: This clarity that is shown is not the nature of the object of knowledge and the dharma of knowing, because the external object becomes clear through the knowing that arises from within, and knowing also becomes clear through the arising of that knowing. If one says this, it is also very unreasonable. Because, the experience of the clarity of things is already established, and even Brahma cannot make this clarity happen. If it is lacking, then even Indra cannot experience blue and so on. Even if knowing arises, the nature of blue and so on is not completely clear, but remains in a hidden state, remaining as it is. Similarly, even if another knowing arises in knowing, it is not clear, so knowing is also not clear, and all beings would become blind and mute. If one objects: No, knowing clearly experiences things. Then, consciousness will become different from clarity. How does it become clear? Through complete severance. If one says: If it is not clear, how can it be severed? If one says: It is clear. Then, if clarity itself is called completely clear, being clear, and experiencing, how is clarity not the dharma of the object of knowledge? Because it has already been established as the dharma of the object of knowledge, the remaining part will be as previously stated. Others say: Knowing is the nature of clarity, therefore it is clear by itself, and the object is its nature.

They say that it becomes clear because it is associated with knowledge that is not its own nature. According to them, it is not clear because it is not its own nature, and it also becomes clear because it has been made clear, which also becomes contradictory. Also, through what kind of connection does it understand things? If it is said that it is summarized by the connection that depends on one collection, then the eye will also understand through the consciousness of the eye. If it becomes a non-object, how can the image become an object if there is no clarity? Because it is an object, it understands, which is also obvious. Others say that just like the light of a lamp touches a vase, etc., it becomes clear by encountering the clarity of knowledge. According to them, the image of flowers and fruits, etc., is experienced by the consciousness of the eye, then its smell, taste, and touch will also be experienced, because there is no difference from encountering. If it is said that it is because it is not an object, that has already been said. Therefore, all experiences of blue, etc., are knowledge itself, and not external things that are grasped. The Sutra masters say that this is not something we do not accept, all consciousness is with an image, just like things leave an image on the mirror of consciousness, consciousness experiences that image, but if analyzed carefully, just like seeing one's own face in a mirror, it is considered to be an experience. Moreover, in the mirror, seeing external things is very inconsistent, so there are some mistakes, but appearing in the mirror of the mind is very consistent, so there will be no mistakes at all. They also say, through what kind of connection does knowledge experience that thing? If it is said that it is through the connection that arises from it, then the eye will also experience through the consciousness of the eye. Or, if it is said that it is through the power of similarity, then the consciousness of many people who see the same thing will also become seeing each other. Or, if it is said that it arises from it and appears in it, then that similar immediate cause will also become an object like an object. Moreover, if all selves are similar, then knowledge will also become matter itself. Aspect
