If it is said that many are parts, and that which is aggregated into one is the thing with parts, that is not correct. Because the collection of hands, etc., is one body. Moreover, because it is recognized that there is no different body apart from these (parts). If it is said that the thing with parts, a single one, possesses the measure of four cubits, and each of the hands and feet, etc., has recognition, how can that be established? Therefore, many such as hands, etc., are one body. The correct recognition that is separate from one and many is not established as the nature of the reason on the subject. Furthermore, hands and feet, etc., are not one, because they appear as distinct forms from each other in their own nature. Nor are they many, because there is no common recognition of the appearances and experiences that have become the nature of each. Therefore, it is unreasonable for them to appear connected together. Just like one's own and others' minds. Appearing together separately exists, and precisely because of that, the nature of the reason, the correct recognition that is separate from one and many, is not established on the subject. This reason is also not contradictory, because it also exists in the similar aspect, in seeing a drunken elephant in a dream. It is very well known that a dream is seeing false things. It should not appear from that which is not its nature. Therefore, this seeing a drunken elephant is established as the nature of falsehood in the similar aspect. Seeing itself is self-awareness. False things also do not have one and many, because those are the nature of things. Therefore, the correct recognition that is separate from one and many is established as existing in the similar aspect, and therefore this is also not contradictory. It is also not uncertain, because this example itself has summarized everything, so pervasion is established. Whatever is the correct recognition that is separate from one and many, all of those are the nature of falsehood. Why is that? If the one and many that pervade things themselves change, then the things themselves will also change. The nature of things is only false, and its nature is also established as correct recognition. If it does not exist, it is unreasonable to be associated with correct recognition. The things themselves are pervaded by those.

How is that established? Because of the mutually exclusive nature, the dharmas of things, if one thing is excluded, the second thing is established, so it is impossible to go beyond that thing itself. Therefore, it is established that it pervades two things. The one who speaks all falsehoods says: We have not established things, because there are no dharmas of things either. Therefore, if you say that the two do not pervade things, that is unreasonable. Why? Because: For acceptance, there is entry, for rejection, there is withdrawal, denying things and their dharmas, the cunning one should be punished. Whatever should be accepted, such as drinking and eating, is entry, and whatever should be rejected, such as hunger and thirst, is withdrawal, therefore it is certain that it is a thing and its nature. Because without things, there would be no establishment or negation of happiness and suffering, because those two are unreasonable. Such a person who denies others with mere cunning should be punished in the assembly. Furthermore, what is the thing that you want to negate? Negation is unreasonable for things that have no object. If the nature of things is things, then self-nature is also a thing, therefore, by establishing no self-nature, one should establish dharma or the possessor of dharma, if their essence is other, then at that time it itself will harm no self-nature. Therefore, it should be established that the possessor of dharma, the possessor of the dharma of things, and separation, are established only through essence, and that thing is only the nature of ability. Because for others, establishment and negation are unreasonable. It is the nature of the thing of ability. That is what was said. Therefore: Things are established through characteristics, therefore those two follow. Because of the mutually exclusive self, things do not go beyond their own dharma. Because things are established through characteristics, therefore it is certain that the two follow, pervading one and many. Because they are mutually exclusive essences. Excluding one is the nature of the second. Therefore, because there is no third, things do not go beyond two, therefore it is two.
