If it is posited as the subject of a thesis, and the nature of things is to be established as emptiness, if it is said that the nature of things is pervaded by one and other, but not merely by its own nature, then that is also unreasonable, because the pervasion is not established. There is no ability to establish things, because the means of establishing it, direct perception and inference, do not exist. Therefore, the subject of the example is also not established. Or, what does the statement itself change from? The meaning is that there is neither a statement of establishment nor a statement of negation. If one says that everything is false, then saying those things contradicts one's own established tenets, because those are the causes for others to understand. If everything is false, then everything is without cause. Furthermore, all of its establishment and refutation are not established for oneself, because establishment depends on valid cognition, and valid cognition is not admitted. If it is admitted, then it is established in the manner of the three natures, how can one say that everything is false? In that case, for you and others, all establishment and refutation are not established. If we argue without valid cognition, then valid cognition exists. Therefore, even in this way, because valid cognition is not established, we are establishers and refuters. Valid cognition is not harmed even by a hundred valid cognitions, it is said to be unestablished for the opponent who is not a valid cognition. In this respect, whatever is inseparable from falsehood is said to be unestablished for others. In this respect, whatever is not different from falsehood is also false, like the nature of falsehood. The knowledge that appears as false is also not different from falsehood, and so on, therefore one should not express refutations to the opponent's statements. The Sarvastivadins say: Whatever is to be known is false, like the nature of knowledge. Things and so on are also to be known, if it is said that this is a pervasive contradiction, that is also not good, because like this, this reason, for the conceptualization that eliminates other falsehoods, is also to be known, therefore it is a common uncertain reason. Also, because it is not to be known, the pervasion on falsehood is not established, therefore there is doubt about the reverse. Or, it is an object that is separated from one and many.

And, because it is established in a place where it is not, it is an unestablished basis. Again, 'From what does the speaker himself change?' This refers to the meaning that it is not the speaker himself. Like this, the knowledge that says everything is false, all of these are confused. Therefore, the nature of the Prajnaparamita that is not confused will also be abandoned, and so will the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas who are proven by it. If you slander inference, you will be slandering the omniscient and the establishment of things like the afterlife. If you slander cause and effect, you are slandering karma and its fruit, as well as the truth and the Three Jewels. Who would say that these are speakers of the Dharma? This is to prevent the statement that everything is false. 'The knowledge that is definitely separated from one and the other is the nature of falsehood. Just as a sleeper sees a drunken elephant.' 'The knowledge that is liberated from one and many is completely clear. Just as those who are awake see bodies and trees and lakes.' This refers to listen to how we establish the selflessness of phenomena. Any knowledge that is separated from one and many and correctly recognizes is the nature of falsehood. For example, just as a sleeper sees a drunken elephant. Obtaining this correctly is also because it is separated from one and many, just as seeing bodies and trees and ponds, this is the reason of nature. It is not unestablished, because the basis is established. Because this is through self-awareness, the body etc. is established in its own nature. Because various things are recognized together, there is a similar direction, so it is not contradictory. Just like seeing falsehood in a dream. Because everything is included, the pervasiveness is established, it is not uncertain. The basis of this reason is not unestablished, because seeing bodies and trees and ponds, the nature of the body etc., experiencing the self-nature of consciousness, is determined by recognition. Its own nature is also not unestablished, like this the body is not one, because hands and feet etc. are recognized as many. It is also not many, because the body is recognized as one. Anyone who is subtle here
