So, what is that? It is said: The nature established by unreal conceptualization is the conventional truth. That (conventional truth)'s nature of emptiness should be known as the ultimate truth. In the Mahayana, it is considered that there are four ways of existence. To explain that, it is said: That very truth is considered to exist as the conventional and the ultimate truth. What is imputed and what is substantial, imputation and unreal conceptualization. The truth of the conventional truth itself exists in a conventional way. The truth of the ultimate truth itself exists in an ultimate way. The nature of what is imputed is what is established, because it is merely a name. The nature of what is dependent is substantial, because it arises dependently and relatedly. Those are the two truths. Which are ours, and the knowledge of all falsehoods, in order to subsequently realize that, those great chariots (teachers) proclaimed the path. Through which part of the sutra we can know, and in order to realize the true meaning of others, the great chariots (teachers), namely the noble Maitreya, Asanga, Nagarjuna, Vasubandhu, etc., proclaimed which path, because they truly proclaimed it. Among them, "ours" refers to the parts of the sutras such as the *Saṃdhinirmocana Sūtra* which are understood through the manner of the three natures. The meaning of the simile of the Dharma category, which is like the mirror of the great Dharma, the most excellent of all, should be explained, that is the great mirror of the Dharma of the Mahayana, which also gathers the meaning and mainly explains the meaning, but certainly does not devour words. From that, if a Bodhisattva, according to the literal meaning, improperly discriminates the Dharma, twenty-eight unreal views will arise, namely: the view of characteristics, the view of slandering what is established, the view of slandering what is universally established, the view of slandering Suchness, the view of grasping, the view of transforming, the view of being completely without fault, the view of determination, the view of contempt, the view of extreme anger, the view of inversion, the view of birth,

Now, there are the views of observation, the views of non-acceptance, the views of deceit, the views of reverence, the views of steadfast ignorance, the fundamental views, the views of having no view, the views that obstruct complete union, the views of having no definite emergence, the views obscured by obscurations, the views that generate non-merit, the views that see no result, the views of definite clinging, the views of untruth, the views of not speaking, the great views, and the views of manifest pride. The characteristics of these are spoken of therein. That, being mainly indicated in brief, should be mainly shown in one's own words: all dharmas are without self-nature, unborn, unceasing, peaceful from the very beginning, and naturally completely liberated from suffering. Thus it is said, spoken by the Bhagavan with intention. That intention is also clarified by sutras such as the Saṃdhinirmocana Sutra (Explication of the Thought). The absence of self-nature is also spoken of in three ways: the absence of self-nature of one's own characteristic, the absence of self-nature of arising, and the absence of self-nature of ultimate reality. Among these, self-nature is one's own characteristic, and its absence of self-nature is the thoroughly conceptualized. What arises from oneself is arising, and its absence of self-nature is other-powered. That is also ultimate reality and also without self-nature, therefore it is the absence of self-nature of ultimate reality. Its absence of self-nature is the thoroughly established. Just as there is no self-nature, so also there is no birth, no cessation, peaceful from the very beginning, and naturally liberated from suffering. Furthermore, its meaning is completely unknown, abiding in one's own discrimination, non-arising is non-existence, thus, according to the letter, the Bhagavan has shown that those who are manifestly attached to the characteristics of non-things are views of characteristics. Similarly, by denigrating the three self-natures of dharmas, three views of denigration arise: the view of denigrating imputation, the view of denigrating thorough conceptualization, and the view of denigrating suchness. Thus, in order to establish the view of denigrating suchness, the reasoning is
