Both are false, because there is no truth in falsehood. How is it that only cognition is its truth? It is not truth as it is. Because from the conceptualization of a cow, there is a cognition of a cow from the opposite of non-cow, so this is not harmed by reasoning. An example should be shown: As is, correct mindfulness and, how is it that manifest subsequent arising? Correct mindfulness is correct mindfulness. What is called arising after manifestation is the conceptualization arising from the power of manifestation. That is also not valid cognition, because those are the object and the subject. If, again, these conceptualizations are not valid cognition merely because they are not deceptive, it is because they are the object and the subject. Just as memory is not valid cognition because it is the object and the subject, so too is the conceptualization arising after manifestation, because there is no difference. After the non-conceptual cognition has grasped the object, the conceptual cognition arising after that grasps the distinctions such as genus. If it is said that genus and so forth are like a cow and a white cow walking. Everything is of the same genus and, the nature of things that are contrary to dissimilar things, that is grasped by non-conceptual cognition, then how can the knowledge of a cow that is contrary to non-cow, and white that is contrary to non-white, and walking that is contrary to non-walking, grasp what has not been grasped? Furthermore, if one sees a cow and determines that it is a cow, that is not manifest valid cognition, because it does not truly touch the nature of the object. If it touches, it will necessarily become the nature of everything. Therefore, this is not manifest valid cognition because it is manifestly attached to the nature of an object that is not truly known. Because there is no sign, it is also not inference. If it is said that the conceptualization of 'it is a cow' also experiences the self-nature of the cow, then it is like seeing a cow in the conceptualization of a horse. Seeing a cow with non-conceptual cognition, because the cause is not incomplete, the conceptualization of the cow that is produced by it is confused without distinction, because in this way the object of attachment and the object are the same. It is not in the conceptualization of a horse,

For the sake of dispelling. If that is the case, then inference becomes a valid means of knowledge, because the particular lacks subsequent concomitance, and the general is already established or to be established. The particular is not to be established, because its example lacks subsequent concomitance. If the general is to be established, then therefore it will become the object and the subject. Here it is said: Because of grasping the particular, inference is a valid means of knowledge. By severing the subject from non-association, the general is also made to be grasped. The general is already established or to be established. As it is said, where is the general established? If it is said on the example's subject, if that is the case, then how does the example's subject, which possesses particularity, become general? Or, if that which possesses particularity is also the general itself, then how is the particularity of the subject to be established not general? Therefore, it should be said like this: If the example's subject, which has been made particular by severing association with others, is itself, then that itself will not become the general. Here, it is thought that it has been made particular by severing non-association. The example's subject itself, we also make the side of fire particular by severing non-association, therefore there is no fault in subsequent concomitance. Therefore, by severing the subject from non-association, the general also becomes the object, and the nature of severing non-association also grasps the particular. Therefore, inference is reasonable as a valid means of knowledge, because it grasps what has not been grasped. If it is asked whether that is related to its own object, that which arises from it through it: Inference is the connection of wisdom, the object of inferential knowledge arising through inference, and the connection of the nature arising from it. Thus, that which is to be inferred: Knowing from the sign, that is inference. Determining its sign from the meaning to be inferred is habituation. Inferring from the determined sign is the nature of worldly valid cognition. All afflictions and objects, and whatever objects there are, conventional and ultimate, those two are true in order. Whatever is the object of all afflictions, that is the conventional truth. Whatever is the object of purity, that is the ultimate truth.
