If there is another consciousness other than the ālaya-vijñāna, then all contaminated things are included in the upādāna-skandha. Then, to which upādāna-skandha, such as form, does it belong? This is the crux of the question. In reality, the phrase "belonging to the upādāna-skandha of consciousness" indicates the teacher's realization. In reality, because the ālaya-vijñāna is the nature of consciousness, it is implied that it belongs to the upādāna-skandha of consciousness, but not literally. Because it is not explicitly stated that the ālaya-vijñāna directly belongs to the upādāna-skandha. Then, the part beginning with "If..." is others saying that this contradicts the scriptures. If there is a different ālaya-vijñāna, then it contradicts the "collection of six consciousnesses" that appears in both of these sutras, which is the crux of the question. The part beginning with "having intention" is the teacher showing that it is not contradictory. If someone asks, "What is the intention here?" This is what another person says. Because the mind is the one that manifests the action of rebirth, it is more appropriate to say "from then on," which is the intention. Then, what is the need to indicate the collection of six consciousnesses? This is the crux of the question. The part beginning with "For the time being, the Blessed One..." is the teacher showing the intention. Another person asks, "Why would one think that way?" The teacher says, "Its aspect is..." Because the ālaya-vijñāna is the vipāka-phala, the nature is the same, so it will not change as long as saṃsāra exists. Therefore, for those who do not understand its extremely subtle nature, if so, they will also cling to it as self. For the time being, one of the intentions spoken of in the sutra is like that. In order to indicate other intentions, it says, "What is the support..." What is consciousness? The answer is: coarse. How is it coarse? Therefore, it says "support" and so on. Among them, the support is the eye and so on. The object and so on have already been explained before. For what

The function is in consciousness. Why? Because the pervasively defiled and the pervasively purified are established. How are they established? Therefore, it is said, "Because it corresponds similarly with afflictions and their antidotes." Attachment, etc., corresponds similarly with afflictions, therefore, it corresponds similarly with the antidotes to afflictions, that is its concluding statement. "Fruit" refers to function. With what? With eye consciousness, etc. Why? Because it is what is inferred. What is it that is inferred? Therefore, it is said, "Its seed," etc. The seed of those eye consciousnesses, etc., is its seed. That is both its seed and consciousness, so it is the consciousness of its seed. That which is inferred is the inference of that seed consciousness. Only this is shown here as consciousness, this statement depends on all that has been said, such as the gross, etc., therefore, whatever the action, that itself is shown here as consciousness, etc., corresponding one by one. "Here" refers to the sutra showing the six aggregates of consciousness. "Consciousness" refers to what should be known as entering consciousness. It is not causal consciousness, why? Connect it with "showing." Alaya consciousness is the cause of entering consciousness, therefore, it is causal consciousness. Why? Therefore, it is said, "Because it is reversed from that." Because it is reversed from the gross, etc. Thus, because the basis, object, aspect, aspect, and distinction are not completely severed. It is also not gross, and there, the pervasively defiled and the pervasively purified are not established, because it corresponds similarly with afflictions and their antidotes, and that which has become the fruit does not infer the consciousness that has become the seed in a contradictory way. This refers to an arithmetic comparison, just as answering the showing of the aggregate of consciousness, similarly, the Sutra of Dependent Origination Differentiation.

The word "ba bstan pa" also means the same answer. "Ji ltar rigs par" means "ji ltar 'byor pa", that is, the place where consciousness appears clearly and is experienced is what is indicated, not understanding the Alaya consciousness by inference. Furthermore, it is said that from the reasoning of detailed explanations, etc., the basis of true collection from the reasoning of detailed explanations is because it is hidden, and the scriptures are now scattered into various forms, etc., so now all the sutras are not visible, which is widely established. Therefore, from the sutras, etc., it refers to the words from the sutras of how to take the object of focus. "Lhongs por" means to abandon form. So, like this, etc., others are refuting. "Gzhan" means eye consciousness, etc. Alaya consciousness is constant because it arises continuously, and when other things such as eye consciousness also take the object of focus, it is simultaneous with Alaya consciousness. In an instant, it will become two streams of consciousness. If this is the case, what is the fault? This is what the teacher said because he did not see the fault. Two streams of consciousness, etc., are the opponent stating the fault. If the establishment of different sentient beings is caused by different streams of consciousness, if one also admits that there are two kinds of streams of consciousness in one body, then it will become the fault of establishing two sentient beings. Examples such as "for example" are easy to understand. "As such, it does not change," etc., this is the teacher's answer to the opponent's accusation. The two refer to Alaya and entering consciousness. Because it enters without being different from the object of cause and effect, it refers to the state of entering without being different from the object of cause and effect, that is, the object of cause and effect, entering without being different. Its nature is the object of cause and effect and
