Distinctions have been spoken. Although explanations have been made for the sake of "view," it is only the former, that is, combined with the five views such as the view of the aggregates of destruction. Like this, because this is the occasion of afflictions. Those are the nature of afflictions, and worldly correct views or the unpolluted are not included. Why should these distinctions be made? Regarding "those, although there is no distinction between afflictions and discriminations," and so on, it is said that although those have no distinction in terms of afflictions and discriminations, they differ from each other by the distinction of objects and the distinction of aspects. What is the view of the aggregates of destruction? Regarding "the view of the aggregates of destruction is," and so on, for the five aggregates of grasping, whatever is seen as the aspect of self, the aspect of self, and the aspect of what belongs to self, that is the view of the aggregates of destruction. The polluted aggregates are called the aggregates of grasping. What is the view of holding to extremes? Regarding "the view of holding to extremes is," and so on, for the five aggregates of grasping, for those who previously grasped self and what belongs to self, later seeing the aspect of annihilation or the aspect of permanence, that is the view of holding to extremes. The view that precedes grasping is the view of holding to extremes, a synonym for the view of the aggregates of destruction preceding. The two extreme views are the view of holding to extremes. What is wrong view? Regarding "wrong view is," and so on, whatever view denies giving and offerings, as well as burnt offerings and good conduct, and the cause of the characteristics of bad conduct, denies the ripening fruit, the fruit of the characteristics of this world and the next world, denies the actions of parents, whatever view destroys existing things such as arhats, that is called wrong view because it is the most sinful of all views. What is the view of holding views as supreme? Regarding "the view of holding views as supreme is," and so on, for the five aggregates of grasping, regarding them as supreme, especially superior, principal, and sacred.

It is also observation, which is to hold the view as supreme. It is supreme because it has become a skandha. It is also superior to others, so it is particularly superior. There is no remainder, so it is the chief. There is no equal, so it is sacred. What is it to hold the precepts and asceticism as the most supreme? Thinking of this, it is said, "Holding the precepts and asceticism," and so on. For the five aggregates of close attainment, what is purification and liberation, and the definite observation, that is to hold the precepts and asceticism as the most supreme, because it washes away the defilement of sins, it is purification. Because it is separated from the bondage of afflictions, it is liberation. Because it makes one go to extinction, it is definite. What is doubt? Thinking of this, it is said, "Doubt," and so on. To have hesitation about actions and fruits, as well as truths and the Three Jewels, that is doubt. In order to show the real accomplishment, it is said, "The mind produces various thoughts," and so on, because it is easy to understand, it is not explained. If having various thoughts is called hesitation, then will it become wisdom? Thinking of this, it is said, "This is different in nature from wisdom." Wisdom is the nature of thorough discernment. This is of two contradictory types, therefore it is different in meaning from wisdom. In order to connect with the following text, it is said, "The six afflictions have been spoken," the meaning of which is only a conjunction. In order to show the near afflictions, it is said, "Anger and holding grudges," and so on. Two kinds of two, that is two and two, there are two forms, therefore two forms are shown on the basis. What is the object? Thinking of this, it is said, "Here, anger is," and so on. Abiding in immediate harm, the mind produces various angers, that is anger. This anger is the nature of anger, so it is not different from wrath, but it is only a difference in the state of wrath. Thus, it belongs to a part of wrath, it does not exist independently. Regarding the difference in which state it is established, thinking of this, it is said, "Immediate harm
