Through the distinction of abandonment, it should be understood that the state of transformation has superior and unsurpassed qualities. To explain the two obscurations, the source is cited. Here, "verses" and so on are quoted. The nature of the two obscurations is the consciousness of taking, which should be understood as a bondage. If one wonders whose bondage it is, it is said, "There, two bind two." This means that the nature of the ālaya-vijñāna is an obscuration, and it binds both the śrāvaka lineage and the bodhisattva. The two obscurations are indicated by "seeds of affliction, all seeds." Whatever ālaya-vijñāna has the seeds of the two obscurations is called that. The ālaya-vijñāna has all seeds, and because it has the seeds of affliction, it is called that. The commentator, in order to explain the meaning of the limbs, said, "The two" and so on. The seeds of affliction are the bondage of the śrāvaka lineage. The seeds of the two obscurations, the bondage of the bodhisattva, the sound of the seeds of the two obscurations is said to be all seeds. Why is this called the bodhisattva's obscuration? Therefore, it is said, "Therefore, they have destroyed them" and so on. In this way, if the two obscurations are abandoned, omniscience is attained, therefore the two obscurations are its bondage. After explaining the verses, in order to explain the remaining part of the previous chapter, it is said, "That is the unpolluted and the dharmadhātu" and so on. The distinction of the transformation is called the unpolluted and the dharmadhātu. In this way, because there is no bad rebirth, it is separated from all defilements, therefore it is unpolluted. Moreover, because it is the cause of the noble dharma, it is called the dharmadhātu. In this way, the meaning of the cause is understood here as the sound of the dharmadhātu, which is the cause of all noble dharmas. How is it inconceivable? Therefore, it is said, "The inconceivable is" and so on. In this way, it is not the scope of speculators, in this way, the noble ones understand it individually with their own wisdom, in this way, because it has no analogy, therefore.

It is inconceivable. How is it virtuous? Therefore, it is said "virtuous" and so on. For example, this is a pure object, this is happiness, this is the nature of non-leakage, therefore it is virtuous. How is it stable? Therefore, it is said "stable" and so on. For example, the Sugata is stable and inexhaustible, therefore it is stable. How is it happy? Therefore, it is said "happy" and so on. Because what is permanent is happiness. For example, what is impermanent is suffering. This is permanent, therefore it is happiness. In order to show the difference in the transformed place of the individual, it is said "abandoning the obscurations of afflictions" and so on. The difference in the transformed place is called the liberation body of the Hearers. For example, they only abandon the obscurations of afflictions and attain those liberations. Therefore, the liberation of the place is shown as the liberation body. The nature of the transformed place is called the Dharma body of the Great Hero. Why is the Bhagavan called the Dharma body? It is said "after meditating on the grounds and the perfections" and so on. For example, by meditating on the grounds and the perfections, one can abandon the obscurations of afflictions and the obscurations of knowledge. The transformed place can also be truly accomplished, therefore it is called the Dharma body of the Great Hero. That is to say, just as the Dharma body is called by the accumulation of the grounds and the perfections, it will be shown. In order to make another explanation of this itself, it is said "not abandoning samsara" and so on. For example, if one obtains this transformed place, the Bodhisattvas will not abandon samsara, nor will they be defiled by the faults of samsara, and they will also obtain mastery over all dharmas, therefore it is called the Dharma body. Because it is the place of those dharmas, it is a synonym for the Dharma body. Why is the Bhagavan called the Great Hero? Therefore, it is said "Great Hero" and so on.

Sapa said: Thus, being able to subdue body, speech, and mind, possessing supreme qualities. Therefore, the Bhagavan is called the Great Subduer, because he is free from speech caused by afflictions and near afflictions, therefore he is called the Great Subduer, that is its meaning. In the world, whoever restrains their speech is called a subduer. The Bhagavan does not utter even a single word oppressed by afflictions. Therefore, because he perfectly restrains speech arising from afflictions, the Thus-Gone One is the Great Subduer, the Lord of Subduers, the Supreme of Subduers, the King of Subduers, the Sovereign of Subduers. By my steadfast wisdom, having separately explained the Thirty Verses, by whatever merit is obtained from this, may all beings attain Buddhahood. Due to the power of ignorance, in these places, whatever slight discrepancies have been spoken, like this, because I am foolish, may the wise ones forgive me. On the path of such treatises, mistakes are not surprising, like a blind person running on a dangerous path. If someone with wisdom like mine speaks even a little well, that is very much. Like rice in chaff, even if there is only one grain, it is equivalent to many. The explanation of the Thirty Verses by the teacher Dulwa Lha is completed. The Indian Abbot Jinamitra, Śīlendrabodhi, Dānaśīla, and the revising translator, the monk Yeshe De, translated, revised, and finalized it. Commentary on the Thirty Verses, by Dulwa Lha.
