To ask for the purpose of connecting with what follows, if it is said, "only consciousness," etc., when the grasped and the grasper are completely destroyed, and the mind abides in only consciousness, what is that mind called? The proponents of established tenets say, "That is without mind and without object." etc., saying that without mind and without object, and transcendental wisdom, and transformation of the basis, and the unpolluted realm, and the inconceivable, and virtue, and reliance, and bliss, and the liberation body and the dharma body, thus summarizing the essential points. To explain the meaning summarized by the commentator in two verses, it is said, "These two verses," etc. These two verses, relying on the path of seeing of a yogi who has entered only consciousness, show the complete result by becoming more and more distinct from above. Without mind and without object, and transcendental wisdom, etc., are the times of the path of seeing. Transformation of the basis, etc., is becoming more and more distinct from above. The two bodies are the complete result. If the mind itself is realization, then how can it be called without mind and without object? To that, it is said, "There is no grasping mind there," etc. Like this, for the transcendental mind, there is no other grasping mind, therefore it is without mind. Like this, the transcendental mind does not perceive anything to be grasped, therefore it is without object. Then, why is it called "transcendental"? It is said, "Not familiar with the world," etc. Like this, not familiar, not accustomed. Like this, it does not universally arise in the world. Like this, it is also non-conceptual. Therefore, it transcends the world. Therefore, because it transcends the world, it is transcendental wisdom. To explain the transformation of the basis, it is said, "After that wisdom," etc. Like this, after the transcendental wisdom, the basis is transformed.

Therefore, the words of transformation of the place are spoken. What is the place, and what is the transformation? Therefore, the words "the place also" and so on are used to explain. Here, the word 'place' should be understood as the Ālayavijñāna, together with its seeds. If the place is transformed into: the nature of the evil place, the nature of the Vipāka, the nature of the appearance of the two, the grasper and the grasped, then it is transformed into the nature of the capable, the nature of the Dharmakāya, the nature of non-dual wisdom, which is called the transformation of the place. If the evil place is transformed, it is transformed into a capable thing. If the Vipāka is transformed, it is transformed into the Dharmakāya. If the appearance of the two is transformed, it is transformed into the thing of non-dual wisdom. The word 'evil place' refers to the seeds of afflictions, which means unsuitable. The word 'appearance of the two' refers to the appearance of the grasper and the grasped. The word 'non-dual' refers to non-conceptual wisdom. How is this obtained? Therefore, it is said "that which is transformed is also" and so on, it is necessary to explain what is abandoned to obtain the transformation of the place. Some schools say that it can be obtained by abandoning the two evil places. Therefore, it is said "abandoning the two evil places". Abandoning the two evil places can obtain it. In order to show the two, it is said "the two are" and so on, the evil place of the affliction obscuration and the evil place of the knowledge obscuration, here it is considered as two evil places. If you want to know what is the evil place, it is said "the evil place is" and so on, the place is not suitable is called the evil place. In the true sense, the evil place refers to the seeds of afflictions and knowledge obscurations. In order to show the detailed classification here, it is said "that which is transformed is also" and so on. One is obtained by abandoning the evil place possessed by the Śrāvakas and Pratyekabuddhas, which is the mentioned liberated body. The other is obtained by abandoning the evil place possessed by the Bodhisattvas, which is the mentioned Dharma of the great hero. What is said here is the two obscurations.
