That which is called "Thus Gone Ones," etc., is a section of the Sutra Pitaka. Here, it is explained in detail that in this section of the Sutra Pitaka, it is certain that it starts from goodness, that is, two sentient beings are specifically asked and answered. The questioner is the wanderer Jambushakha, and the answerer is the son of the Venerable Sharadvatiputra. The question is about the one who speaks truthfully and the doer. There are also two kinds of doers, which is explained in detail. What are the answers? The truthful speaker and the two kinds of doers are also these. How is the question asked? Shariputra, who are the preachers of the Dharma in the world, this is the truthful speaker. Who are the well-entered, who are the Thus Gone Ones, these are the two kinds of doers. How did the Venerable One answer? Jambushakha, whoever teaches the Dharma in order to subdue desire, in order to subdue hatred, and in order to subdue ignorance, these are called the preachers of the Dharma in the world, this is the answer of the truthful speaker. How are the two kinds of doers answered? Whoever enters in order to subdue desire, enters in order to subdue hatred, and enters in order to subdue ignorance, these are called the well-entered, this is the truthful doer, that is, the answer to the diligent ones. Whoever has completely abandoned desire, completely knows, completely abandoned hatred and ignorance, completely knows, these are called the Thus Gone Ones in the world, this is also the doer, that is, the answer to the liberated ones. Jambushakha, whoever is for subduing desire, etc., is explained in detail, only mentioning desire, hatred, and ignorance, and not mentioning views, pride, and doubt, because they are connected to the three feelings in order. For example, desire is connected to the feeling of happiness, hatred is connected to the feeling of suffering, and ignora

It is bound to the feeling that is neither pleasure nor pain. Someone asked: How is it known to be bound by these three feelings? Answer: As explained in detail below. The Blessed One said that, in terms of object and correspondence, attachment increases towards pleasant feelings, anger increases towards painful feelings, and ignorance increases towards feelings that are neither pleasant nor painful. The so-called "how appropriate" means how suitable. In the desire realm, it is because greed, hatred, and delusion have been abandoned. In the higher realms, it is because greed and ignorance have been abandoned. The so-called "abandoning the nature of latent acquisition" means that the seed of affliction has not been uprooted or diminished, which is acquisition, and latency is also the same. The nine types of afflictions are abandoned, that is, they are abandoned from the smallest of the small forms. Thus, starting from the largest of the largest forms, they are abandoned up to the smallest of the smallest forms. The so-called "whoever has completely abandoned greed," the abandonment here indicates liberation. Liberation is the removal of greed, etc., from reality, and the mind is without defilement. The so-called "complete knowledge" indicates the vision of the wisdom of liberation, which should be understood in conjunction with the context. The abandonment and complete knowledge mentioned here are the meaning of this. Wisdom is the vision, knowing and seeing liberation is the vision of the wisdom of liberation. Thus, the following is explained in detail. Thus, the word "complete knowledge" as mentioned earlier, indicates that complete abandonment is something to be personally realized by each individual. Why is this so? In order to exclude those who are dependent on others and those who are hesitant. Those who abandon afflictions but are dependent on others, hesitant, and doubtful, are to exclude those who are dependent on others and hesitant, for the sake of joy. Mentioning urinary disease and demonic possession is because even if they are cured, they may recur at some other time. Worldly equanimity
