Explanation of Reasoning's Explanation. Virtue Intelligence. Explanation of Reasoning's Explanation. Virtue Intelligence. In Sanskrit: Vyākhyāyuktiṭīkā. In Tibetan: Explanation of Reasoning's Explanation. Volume One. Homage to youthful Mañjuśrī! "Because the two sleeps of delusion are exhausted," etc., means: Delusion itself is sleep, therefore it is delusion-sleep. Because it is an obstacle to understanding meaning. The sleep of delusion is the two sleeps of delusion. Its exhaustion is the exhaustion of the two sleeps of delusion. Therefore, that is the pervasive bewilderment that is associated with affliction and not associated with affliction, and because of permanent separation, that is the meaning. "Because intelligence expands," etc., means: Because of thoroughly and completely spreading to all knowable things, that is the meaning. "Paying homage to the Able One with the crown of the head," etc., means: In the manner of a definitive statement, because of liberation and because of nirvāṇa, it is the Able One. To that Able One, bowing with the head with faith as the forerunner, that is the meaning. To those, in order to benefit them, those who wish to explain the sūtras, in order to benefit the explanation. What dharmas are initially virtuous, as extensively explained in the sūtra, how is it? Whatever dharmas are initially virtuous, virtuous in the middle, virtuous in the end, with good meaning, good words, unmixed, completely perfect, completely pure, completely purified, brahmacarya, the dharma that reveals through manifestation, like that, much hearing, and upholding, and reciting, and contemplating with the mind, and thoroughly understanding by seeing, that is what it says. Among them, "brahma" is said to be the most excellent and most important meaning, it is the most important. For example, there are also roads, therefore that is the most important, that is the meaning. How is it extensively said that "one is endowed with morality"?

How does one dwell having perfected it? Having become secluded from desires, secluded from sinful, unwholesome dharmas, with initial application and sustained application, possessing joy and pleasure born of seclusion, he dwells having perfected the first dhyana. He, having abandoned initial application and sustained application, with inner purity, the continuum of mind having become one, without initial application, without sustained application, possessing joy and pleasure born of concentration, he dwells having perfected the second dhyana. He, having become detached from the desire for joy, dwells in equanimity, possessing mindfulness and awareness, experiencing pleasure with the body, that which the noble ones speak of as abiding in pleasure with mindfulness and equanimity, he dwells having perfected the joyless third dhyana. He, having abandoned pleasure, and having previously abandoned suffering, with the disappearance of mental pleasure and mental displeasure, with equanimity that is neither pleasure nor suffering, and with the complete purification of mindfulness, he dwells having perfected the fourth dhyana. This is the noble truth of suffering, having fully understood it as it is; this is the origin of suffering; this is the cessation of suffering; this is the noble truth of the path that leads to the cessation of suffering, having fully understood it as it is; he, knowing and seeing it thus, the mind is completely liberated from the outflow of desire; from the outflow of existence and the outflow of ignorance, the mind is completely liberated, and in that liberation, the wisdom arises, 'I am liberated,' he will see, as is extensively explained. In order, by the two, non-perverted and comprehensible, non-perverted
