That is to say, in order, starting from the hustle and bustle that is happening now, the monk named Kungawo (ཀུན་དགའ་བོ, Sanskrit: Ānanda), who rejoices in the hustle and bustle, should know that this is the first sentence. Starting from the hustle and bustle of the past, to like the hustle and bustle, know that this is the second sentence. Starting from the hustle and bustle of the future, it is not good to diligently and abide in the act of rejoicing in the hustle and bustle, know that this is the third sentence. There, because of liking, tasting, and manifest joy, it is like this, liking the hustle and bustle that is happening now, tasting the past, and manifest joy for the future, therefore, starting from the hustle and bustle of the past, etc., know these three sentences. Rejoicing in renunciation, it is the same for that, meaning starting from the renunciation that is happening now, the past and the future, know these three sentences, rejoicing in renunciation, liking renunciation, and diligently engaging in the act of rejoicing in renunciation, this is the extensive explanation of the Sutra section. Rejoicing in renunciation starts from the renunciation that is happening now. Liking renunciation starts from the past. Diligently engaging in the act of rejoicing in renunciation starts from the future. Like this, the extensive explanation is, like this, and again from the perfectly endowed teachings, monks, for this that has form, truly observing impermanence, for that person, the true view will arise, if truly seen, because of disgust and the exhaustion of love, desire will be exhausted, from the exhaustion of love and desire, the mind will be completely liberated, so it is said. Monks, monks, for feelings, thoughts, actions, and consciousness, truly observing impermanence, for that person, the true view will arise, if truly seen, because of disgust and the exhaustion of love, desire will be exhausted, from the exhaustion of love and desire, the mind will be extremely liberated, so it is said. Like that, if the monk's mind is truly and completely liberated, if he

If one says to oneself, "My birth is exhausted. The Brahmacarya has been practiced. What was to be done has been done. After this, I will not know another existence," such are the Sutras. What should be fully known? It is shown that form and so on are included in the truth of suffering. By what words? By the words from form to consciousness. How should it be fully known? By impermanence. It is shown by the word "impermanence." What is full knowledge? It is right view. By what words is it shown? By the words "right view arises in them." What is the fruit of full knowledge? It is the gradual liberation of the mind through weariness and so on. How is it a gradual process of weariness and so on? It is said that if one sees correctly, one becomes weary, and because joy is exhausted, desire is exhausted. Because one has joy and desire is exhausted, the mind is completely liberated. Such is the gradual process of weariness and so on. These words show the fruit of full knowledge. What is the statement of that? It is whatever is universally shown. It is the words "one says to oneself, 'My birth is exhausted,'" and so on, which are words of prophecy. That which states it, that the mind is completely liberated, is the word of prophecy. To summarize, what is explained in detail is that, to summarize, this Sutra shows seeing things as they are. By what words? By the words "right view arises from that." By what words is weariness shown? By the words "if one sees correctly, one becomes weary." By what words is freedom from desire shown? By the words "because joy is exhausted, desire is exhausted." By what words is liberation shown? By the words "it is said that the mind is completely liberated." By what words is seeing the wisdom of liberation shown? By the detailed explanation of "my birth is exhausted." Thus, the mind is equal.

If one observes, one will thoroughly understand as it is, and see as it is. Knowing as it is, and seeing as it is, one will become weary. Being weary, one will be free from desire. Being free from desire, one will be liberated. Being liberated, one will know and see that one's own birth is exhausted. This sutra explains all about liberation. Furthermore, one thing does not arise from many. It extensively explains knowing the aspects of the mind. If the mind is with desire, one thoroughly understands and knows that the mind is with desire. If the mind is without desire, one thoroughly understands and knows that the mind is without desire. Just as with desire and without desire, so too with hatred and without hatred, with delusion and without delusion, collected and scattered, timid and focused, agitated and unagitated, untamed and tamed, unmeditated and meditated, if the mind is not liberated, one thoroughly understands and knows that the mind is not liberated, if the mind is liberated, one thoroughly understands and knows that the mind is liberated. These words arise from that. Furthermore, one word does not have multiple meanings. For example, 'free from desire,' 'free from hatred,' 'free from delusion' - each of these words does not have multiple meanings. One should know that they are not associated with those, that is, one should know that they are not associated with desire and so on. This is a summary statement. How does one know? Because the sutra extensively explains 'the nature of non-attachment' and so on. How is it done? In the Sutra of the Son of the Moon Daughter, it is extensively taught. The Son of the Moon Daughter, Devadatta, said to the monks: 'Venerable ones, a monk who has thoroughly tamed his mind with his mind, that mind is free from desire.'
