It is like from the truth of suffering to the truth of the path. From the perspective of the debater, it is a way of connecting. The debater's words are from "Why was the truth of suffering taught first?" to "The truth of the path is later." From the perspective of the respondent, it is a way of conforming. The respondent's words are like what is said in the sutra, to counteract the fault of not understanding the meaning of what is said, there are the sixth, seventh, and eighth, which are connected to the phrase "the aspects." The sixth, seventh, and eighth aspects are what should be rejoiced in, desired, and satisfied. From whose perspective are these aspects? It is from the perspective of the faithful, the arrogant, and the moderate, that is, in order. To counteract the fault of saying what does not become an offering, there are the ninth and tenth aspects, two aspects. For those who do evil deeds, it is not appropriate to generate joy, and if you denigrate them, it will become the fault of not becoming an offering. Therefore, do not generate joy, nor denigrate, but speak truthfully. To counteract the fault of saying what is unreasonable, there is the aspect of "reason." To counteract the fault of saying what is not an object of practice, there is the aspect of "connection." What is not an object of practice is the profound meaning, that is, for those of lower faculties. Clarity is an object of practice, so doing so is connection. To counteract the fault of speaking distractedly, there is the aspect of "unmixed," mixing with other words is distraction. To counteract the fault of saying what is connected with meaninglessness, there is the aspect of "connected with dharma." To counteract the fault of saying what is inappropriate, there is the aspect of "as is the retinue." To counteract the fault of speaking with an afflicted mind, there are all the remaining aspects such as loving-kindness. How to do it? There are three types of afflicted minds, namely, the mind of believing, the mind of revering after believing, and the mind of jealousy. The first, that is, the mind of believing.

To counteract the thought of timidity, one needs the aspects of loving-kindness, benefit, and compassion. These are loving-kindness, beneficial mind, and compassionate mind. So, with what intention should these three attitudes be cultivated? They should be cultivated with the intention to attain Nirvana, to realize the path to it, and to comprehend the meaning of what is said. How should they be cultivated? Loving-kindness should be cultivated with the intention to attain Nirvana, the beneficial mind should be cultivated with the intention to realize the path to it, and the compassionate mind should be cultivated with the intention to comprehend the meaning of what is said. To counteract the thought of making offerings out of faith, one needs the aspect of not relying on gains, respect, and verses. For example, it is not permissible if those who have faith make offerings out of faith with robes and alms, etc. To counteract the thought of jealousy, one needs the aspect of not praising oneself and not disparaging others. Furthermore, the detailed explanation in the sutras, in short, is that one should contemplate from the combination of speech in the sutras and recognize five aspects, from speaking at the right time to being agreeable. From the act of starting to speak, one should also recognize five aspects, from being pleasing to not disparaging others. One should also recognize five aspects from the virtues of speech, from reason to the retinue as it is. One should also recognize five aspects here from the virtues of the speaker, from loving-kindness to not disparaging others. Those who are endowed with life, if they wish to listen to the Dharma, should listen to the Dharma with sixteen qualities, namely, listening to the Dharma at the right time, listening with respect and reverence, without dissatisfaction, acting according to the instructions, not finding fault, placing reverence in the Dharma, placing reverence in the person who speaks the Dharma, not despising the Dharma, not despising the person who speaks the Dharma, not despising oneself, having a mind to fully understand,

One should listen to the Dharma with a single mind, paying attention, being focused, and thinking with all one's heart. Fortunate ones, one should listen to the Dharma with these sixteen qualities, this is a fragment of the Sutra Pitaka. For the speaker, as an antidote to the faults of one's own actions and conduct, one should listen to the Dharma at the appropriate time, and one should recognize that this is the way. Respect is the antidote to the fault of arrogance. Respectful listening is the antidote to the fault of not seeking the meaning itself. Respectful listening is synonymous with wanting to listen. Not being resentful is the antidote to the fault of being resentful because of taking sides with others. Acting as in practice is the antidote to the fault of not making offerings and not respecting the speaker. Not seeking faults is the antidote to the fault of intending to argue and find fault. Respecting the Dharma in order and respecting the speaker are the two ways to counteract the fault of not thinking about the qualities of the Dharma and the speaker, and therefore not respecting them. Not despising the Dharma and not despising the speaker are the two ways to counteract the fault of despising because of thinking about faults. Not despising oneself is the antidote to the fault of slander. Having a mind that understands everything is the antidote to the fault of desiring gain and respect, because for it, understanding everything, that is, the mind that comprehends arises, and the desire for gain and respect does not arise. Focusing one's mind and listening attentively are the two ways to counteract the fault of not listening due to distraction and laziness. Being focused is the antidote to the fault of not paying attention properly. Being focused means having no separation in the mind.
