Those places will arise. Without afflictions, it will not change; thus, distinguish and prophesy. If asked whether it is inferior or particularly superior, ask based on what the question is asked, and then prophesy. If it is said to be from the realm of gods, prophesy that it is inferior. If it is said to be from the lower realms, prophesy that it is particularly superior. If asked whether it is different from or not different from the aggregates of sentient beings, it can be established, because sentient beings have no substance, like the blue son of the mother's chin and the white lower skirt. If asked how this is prophesied, it is because it is prophesied that there is no prophecy. Who are all those called "all these" in detail? Whoever dwells on the white side or the black side, all these are rightly entered or wrongly entered; do not cause those retinues to rejoice or slander. Just as it is said in the Sutra of No Afflictions. If asked what is said therein, it is said in detail that one should know to generate joy and slander. Having known to generate joy and slander, one should neither generate joy nor slander, but only explain the Dharma. Why? Because one does not clearly know the difference of those to be tamed, one should do so, that is, generate joy and slander. Those who are not to be tamed, through generating joy and slander, those who are not to be tamed, are those who are not to be tamed, and suffering will arise. Because reason should not contradict valid cognition, it should not contradict direct perception, inference, and the valid cognition of trustworthy scriptures. Furthermore, the detailed explanation called "furthermore" is that other categories, such as the mind of loving-kindness, the mind of benefit, and the mind of compassion, these words are spoken to those who are virtuous, non-virtuous, and ordinary. To those who are inclined to virtue, inclined to non-virtue, and ordinary, with minds of loving-kindness and so on, in order. How? To those who are inclined to virtue, speak with a mind of loving-kindness. To those who are inclined to non-virtue

For superiors, speak with a mind of benefit; for ordinary people, speak with a mind of loving-kindness. Not relying on gain, respect, and fame, gain and respect are gain and respect, the two. Those two, gain and respect, and fame, are gain, respect, and fame. Not relying on gain, respect, and fame. How is it that one does not rely on them? Because one has abandoned the desire for them. "Having abandoned the desire for gain, respect, and fame" is its synonym. What is the meaning of not praising oneself and not disparaging others? Because one has abandoned the desire for the speaker himself to be more convincing. Therefore, for that reason, one praises oneself and disparages others. If so, how and for what purpose is it extensively explained? It is as has been shown. How is it, in what manner does one speak? That is also fully shown by five words. Which five? Namely, timely, diligently, orderly, connected, and in accordance. For what purpose is the synonym for speaking for what reason. That is also fully shown by five words. Which five? Namely, causing joy, causing satisfaction, causing contentment, not causing aversion, and not disparaging. In what way does one speak, that is also fully shown by five words. Which ones? Namely, reasonable, related, not confused, in accordance with the Dharma, and as befits the retinue. In what way does one speak, those are fully shown by five words. Which five? Namely, a mind of loving-kindness, a mind of benefit, a mind of compassion, not relying on gain, respect, and fame, and when speaking those words, not praising oneself and not disparaging others, in short, these are the ones. The twenty aspects are synonyms for the twenty distinctions. The fault of speaking to a non-vessel, when explained extensively, a non-vessel.

English

Speaking to an improper vessel is speaking to an improper vessel, and that itself is a fault. Incomplete speech is incomplete speech, and that itself is a fault. Interrupted speech is interrupted speech, and that itself is a fault. Unintelligible speech is unintelligible speech, and that itself is a fault. Because there is sleep on the head, grammarians should prove it in that way. Because there is no offering to this, it should be combined that this cannot be offered. Because this has no meaning, this has no meaning. Saying that there is no meaning is saying that there is no meaning, and that itself is a fault. Speaking to a non-object is speaking to a non-object, and that itself is a fault. Speaking distractedly is speaking distractedly, and that itself is a fault. Associated with meaninglessness, the similar association is associated with meaninglessness. Speech associated with meaninglessness is speech associated with meaninglessness, and that itself is a fault. Speaking inappropriately is speaking inappropriately, and that itself is a fault. The thought of the afflicted, that is, thinking is the thought of the afflicted. Speaking with the thought of the afflicted is speaking with the person who has afflicted thoughts, and that itself is a fault, so it is the fault of speaking with the thought of the afflicted. What is shown as the fault of speaking to an improper vessel, for this, an improper vessel refers to sitting improperly in conduct, just as it is said in the "Katyayana's Daughter with a Staff Sutra." Its antidote is the way of speaking on time. The antidote to the fault of incomplete speech is the way called caution. For the antidote to the fault of uninterrupted speech, it should be known that there are three ways such as order, namely order, connection, and accordance. On what basis are these ways made? They are made on the basis of teaching, the words of the debater, and the words of the answer. For this, making based on teaching is the way of order. Teaching, for example,
