It should be known. Death is also the separation from the aggregates of existence of death, that is, the transference of death. Because one goes unwillingly, one should know that the next life is not good. The next life is only the place where those whose continuity of existence has not been cut off go. The so-called three goods are death, the time of death, and the next life. Here it is also said that you with bark have no attachment or desire, so your death is good, the time of death is good, and the next life is good, as stated in the Sutra. In this way, merely being separated from the aggregates is considered the time of death, because an Arhat will not be reborn in other aggregates. His Nirvana is considered the next life, because an Arhat has cut off all places of going, this is the extensive explanation. Bhikshus, therefore, you should learn in this way, to become those who have pulled out thorns, those who have stirred up thorns, those who have separated from thorns, and those who are without thorns. Why? Arhats are those without thorns, this is a passage from the Sutra. Relying on the power of individual observation, that is, relying on the special emptiness of wisdom. Relying on the power of meditation, that is, relying on the special power of Samadhi. In order to completely destroy the latent tendencies of the path of seeing, that is, in order to completely destroy the eight subtle latent tendencies through the path of seeing, they are those who have separated from thorns. The first fruit refers to the fruit of Stream-enterer. The second also abides in the fruit, that is the fruit of Once-returner. The third refers to the fruit of Non-returner, that is because of complete abandonment, this is the concluding remark. Separate explanation, rational explanation. Fifth fascicle. Having generated faith, one goes forth, having gone forth, one listens to the Dharma, having listened to the Dharma, one thinks, having thought, one measures, having measured, one approaches enlightenment, and also realizes that truth with the body, individually with wisdom.

That which is called "piercing" is a fragment of the Sutra section. Measuring is by reason, because it specifically distinguishes the characteristics of the well-spoken itself. Therein, because reason is the three kinds of valid cognition, it is by reason. The well-spoken itself is non-inverted, because it specifically distinguishes its characteristics. The characteristic is also the teaching that accords with the noble truths. The teachings of the Buddhas, the Bhagavat, are like saying, "The sounds of the north are unpleasant." All are well-spoken, therefore, pointing out its characteristics is as mentioned before. Or, the well-spoken itself is distinct from other dharmas. That which is called "in the manner of meditation" is in the manner of equipoise. That which is called "that truth" is the truth of cessation. That which is called "realizing as it is" is synonymous with "perfectly awakening to complete enlightenment as it is." Thinking indicates the wisdom arising from thought. Measuring and approximating realization itself indicates the wisdom arising from the meditation of the path of seeing and the path of meditation. How do the two paths of seeing and meditation measure? The path of seeing is through... Elaborating in detail, wherein, suchness is the selflessness in persons and phenomena. Discerning it separately is perfect enlightenment. Through the absence of superimposition and the absence of defamation, that is, the absence of superimposition of "I" or "mine," and the absence of defamation of "there is no fruition, there are no truths such as suffering," thereby abiding in equality, therefore it measures in this way. Through the transformation of the place itself, because liberation is attained. Because of the transformation of the place, therefore through the transformation of the place itself. If through the transformation of the place itself? Because liberation is attained. Liberation is also the mind being separated from the bad place of the latent tendencies of afflictions. That which is called "by the wisdom of liberation" is the arising of wisdom in the characteristics of liberation as previously shown.

I am the wisdom of liberation, which is the wisdom focused on liberation. "Thus," which arises extensively, means "as it is said, thus it is." "Relying on faith" means that faith arises and one proceeds, which is shown by this statement. "Showing the path with the assembly" means listening to the Dharma. "Having heard that Dharma, he contemplates it," these two statements show the assembly. "Having contemplated, he measures. Having measured, he closely understands," this shows both paths entirely. "Showing entirely the fruit of the path, liberation," is by the statement, "that truth is also directly realized by the body." "Showing entirely the wisdom of liberation," is by the statement, "it is individually penetrated by wisdom." A monk who possesses discipline, who possesses virtuous qualities, having fully enjoyed whatever alms he receives, having directly realized immeasurable samadhi in his mind, having perfected it and dwells, then from that, the merit of the giver and the patron constantly increases, the virtue constantly increases, and it is to be known that there is immeasurable happiness that is drawn forth, which is a section of the Sutra Pitaka. The term "faith, etc." refers to many virtuous qualities such as diligence, extreme gentleness, and equanimity. "His" refers to the patron's. "Those two" refers to the two habits as mentioned above. "In order" means that those who go in the distinction of the habit that is strengthened by the ripening of the fruit, the accomplishment of the pleasing, should be known as the immeasurable merit that is constantly done. Those who go in the distinction of the habit that is strengthened by the accomplishment of the concordant fruit of the cause of faith and other virtuous dharmas, should be known as the immeasurable virtue that is constantly increasing. Constantly increasing also means constantly growing. That constantly increasing also refers to those two habits themselves. "The element of those two is strengthened" means that the seeds of the merit arising from generosity and the virtuous right view that makes it enter well, those two are strengthened. Again,
