It will also be explained below that it is a detailed explanation. How is it? Sometimes two words are explained by two other words. For example, the words "contentment of mind" and "comfort of mind" are like being explained by "joy of mind" and "immaculate mind." The noble Shravakas, knowing this and possessing the four faiths, are not impoverished by their livelihoods, are not stingy, and are not destitute. They live prosperously and enjoy abundance because of their wealth. This is a passage from the Sutra Pitaka. Regarding the phrase "because they possess the seven noble riches," the seven noble riches are: the riches of faith, the riches of discipline, the riches of shame, the riches of embarrassment, the riches of learning, the riches of generosity, and the riches of wisdom. The five fears are: the fear of having no livelihood, the fear of having no praise, the fear of being shy in the assembly, the fear of death, and the fear of bad destinies. Among these five fears, in order to abandon the fear of having no livelihood, one lives without being stingy. The fear of having no praise is the fear of having no fame. The fear of being shy in the assembly is the fear of shrinking back due to shyness in the assembly, and thus being afraid. Because of possessing bad wealth, a bad mind, and a bad livelihood, one should understand poverty, stinginess, and destitution in that order. If meditative stabilization (samadhi) is seized by fabrication and flows like water, but is seized by the nature of reality, then such meditative stabilization that is not peaceful, not excellent, has not attained a wide path, and has not realized the oneness of the mind-stream, is like not properly, well, and equally abiding in order to exhaust the outflows. If meditative stabilization is seized by fabrication and does not flow like water, but is seized by the nature of reality, is peaceful, excellent, has attained a wide path, and has realized the oneness of the mind-stream, then such meditative stabilization is like, in order to exhaust the

Where is it well to abide? This is a fragment from the Sutra Pitaka. "Seized by effort" is synonymous with "seized with diligence," because it manifests for a long time. "Seized by Dharma-nature" means that Dharma-nature is mindfulness. Because the afflictions are very difficult to subdue, this is synonymous with "the antidote that prolongs the afflictions has not prolonged them." Because it is mixed with the afflictions of one's own ground, it is like this: tasting from time to time, being similar and corresponding, therefore tasting in purity. "The path has become vast and has not been attained" means that its vastness is spontaneously arising, and there is attainment, so it is vast and attained. That itself is the path, so the path is vast and attained. Why is the path not vast and attained? Because it does not arise from itself, it is synonymous with "it does not change because it is spontaneously accomplished." How does it not arise from itself? Because of the cause of extreme unfamiliarity, relying on extreme unfamiliarity, because the mind-continuum does not realize that it has become one continuum. One continuum is a form, so it is one continuum. Transforming into that is transforming into one continuum. That realization is realizing the transformation into one continuum, synonymous with "the mind has not attained transformation into one form." Why? Because it has movement, it is synonymous with "it has faults." That movement, in the first dhyana, is investigation and analysis; in the second dhyana, it is joy; in the third dhyana, it is bliss. Thus, because there are no faults such as investigation, the fourth dhyana is the realization of transformation into one continuum, synonymous with "it is immovable." The cause of non-pacification and so on is from non-pacification up to the non-realization of the transformation of the mind-continuum into one continuum. The white side should be understood as the opposite of this. How is it? If the samadhi is not seized by effort, this is a fragment from the Sutra Pitaka. Not seized by effort means quickly
