Because of the liberation and definite arising of phenomena, and because they are not in accordance with the Dharma, the Bhagavan personally taught his own liberation, etc., which are liberation, definite arising, separation, and complete liberation. It is not because Arhats are not in accordance with the Dharma, because liberation is common with them. The term "those places" broadly refers to the places that exist on those grounds, which are "those places." Those places are both "those places" and afflictions, so they are "afflictions of those places." The pervasive entanglement of the afflictions of those places, which is manifestation, is the "pervasive entanglement of the afflictions of those places." That itself is bondage, so it is the "bondage of the pervasive entanglement of the afflictions of those places." That cessation is the "cessation of the bondage of the pervasive entanglement of the afflictions of those places," and from that, it is "after the cessation of the bondage of the pervasive entanglement of the afflictions of those places." The phrase "from the prison of those places" is synonymous with "from the dwelling place of that life." The phrase "by the three pervasive bonds" refers to the view of the aggregates, adherence to ethics and vows, and doubt. The teaching of the four kinds of liberation is due to the broad explanation of the word "liberation." Those who are not completely liberated from suffering are so because they will be born again in the desire realm. In order to distinguish them, the word "liberation" is again broadly explained, as before. The phrase "it is also like this" means that this is another way of saying that is highly approved. The phrase "because it is related to latent tendencies" means that it is related to the seeds of the afflictions of those places, which is synonymous. As before, the Bhagavan taught his own four kinds of liberation. Those are ordinary beings, etc. The phrase "because there is not that" means because there is no inversion, because the mind abides many times without inversion. The phrase "from the obscuration of afflictions" means that the afflictions themselves are obscurations, so it is the obscuration of afflictions, and from that. Because of knowing that unique liberation, the mind is stainless by eliminating desire, etc. The knowable

"From obscuration" is called the obscuration of the knowable, that is, the obscuration of knowledge. That is also an obstacle to the arising of supreme wisdom, and is called the state of evil and the inability to tame the mind, these are synonyms. "In order to comprehend" means to become the comprehension of one's own nature, this is a concluding word. It is not through the knowledge of speculators, nor is it known through hearing from others. It is extensively stated in the third chapter of the Sutra Pitaka: "Bhikkhus, the Blessed One tames the untamed, pacifies the unpacified, breathes out the unbreathed, and causes those who have not completely passed into nirvana to completely pass into nirvana," that is what it means. "Pacified" and so on are extensively stated, abiding in the bliss of equipoise is abiding in the bliss of equipoise. It is both pacified and abiding in the bliss of equipoise, therefore it is abiding in the bliss of the equipoise of pacification, therefore it is extremely established. "Equipoise" refers to dhyana and the formless absorptions. "Because of being endowed with both" means that because of being endowed with the abandonment of afflictions and abiding in the bliss of the equipoise of pacification, this is a concluding word. In other sutras it is said, "The mind is tamed and completely pacified, and endowed with the supreme of complete pacification," meaning that because of being endowed with the abandonment of afflictions, it is endowed with the supreme of the tamed mind, and because of being endowed with abiding in the bliss of the equipoise of pacification, it is endowed with the supreme of complete pacification. In short, it is shown to be extremely established on the benefit of taming and being tamed, that is, the phrase "taming the untamed" shows that it is extremely established on taming, and the remaining three phrases refer to the benefit of taming, the benefit of taming is abiding in the bliss of pacification in this very life, this is what is indicated by the phrase "pacifying the unpacified." Not being born in evil destinies and rebirth in the future life is indicated by two phrases, that is, the phrase "breathing out the unbreathed" indicates that the suffering of evil destinies will not arise in the future life.
